  1. Slice the decal along the door line and use setting solution to get it to snuggle down into place.
  2. I don't know about that "55" being all one piece right over the door opening...
  3. Paint it gloss black with red pinstripes and it would make a cool Batmobile!
  4. Remember... do NOT post hints or answers here! PM me with year, make and model. The answer: 1968-69 Barreiros Dodge Dart 3700GT
  5. Looks great! I see you used the PE railings (does the kit give you the option to use either plastic railings or PE ones? I'll have to check the box, I seem to remember that it gives you the choice).
  6. Nor sure what you mean there. I'm no weatherman, but I know that weather systems around here travel west to east. But the lake is to the east of us, or "behind" us as far as approaching storms go. So the lake has no effect on oncoming weather systems for those of us who live to the west of the lake... it only affects the weather on the east side of the lake as weather systems pass over it (like causing "lake-effect" snow in Indiana and Michigan in the winter).
  7. Yep... living in the midwest during "tornado season" sucks.
  8. I think you're right... it's the lawyers doing a "CYA" thing. I mean, when McDonald's has to print a notice on their coffee cups to warn us that hot coffee is hot, you know the lawyers have completely taken over...
  9. It's very misleading to sell a spray booth that claims it's "perfect for all your hobby spraying" while also warning that it's not meant to be used with flammable paints. Buyer beware, I guess.
  10. Paasche spray booths come with this information: ...Rugged, compact in size and easy to assemble. This portable booth features galvanized metal panels for easy cleaning and durability. Working dimensions are 30-inch wide by 16-inch high, perfect for all your hobby and craft spraying. Equipped with two 115 Volt fans. Not intended for use with hazardous materials, flammable or explosive paints or materials. If necessary, wear goggles and/or protective paint and vapor mask. 4-inch dryer duct adapter included. Huh? A spray booth they claim is "perfect for all your hobby spraying" that is "not intended for use with hazardous materials, flammable or explosive paints...????" Isn't that like selling a can opener with a warning that it is not intended for opening cans? Is this just another case of lawyers gone wild?
  11. You guys and your blade puns... what a bunch of cut-ups!
  12. Hmmm... I guess I'm weird. When I have a dream about a model, she's full scale...
  13. Very nicely done!
  14. I moved this to the "General" section. If anyone here is interested, you have his email.
  15. Just a reminder that you all have an "Ignore Member" setting available... It's a lot more effective that having a public feud...
  16. It's a great kit! Like Al said, it can be built several ways right out of the box, or it can be easily modified, or it can be kitbashed. It's not a super-detailed kit, but it's a terrific starting point. 1/8 scale gives you a lot of detailing possibilities... the kit can be turned into a sure-fire contest winner if you put the time and effort into it. I would recommend it highly. Mine isn't finished yet... I added just a little bit of extra detail. You could easily go way beyond the simple stuff I added and make this kit a showstopper.
  17. Pretty close vote... 41 REAL, 31 MODEL. It's REAL! And yes, there are models out there of this car. Not plastic kits, necessarily, and not in 1/24-25 scale... you guys have to remember that a model doesn't have to be 1/24-25 scale and plastic!
  18. For the price he's asking he could have at least posted the photo the right way...
  19. Send Gregg a PM and tell him you want your account deleted.
  20. I was in a "wagon phase"...
  21. I did this illustration a few years ago. When I did it, I had never seen a Mustang wagon. I didn't even know they existed (I know, only as prototypes, not as production models). I thought I had a really original idea. Guess not!
  22. Not going to happen unless you submit something... Kind of like winning the lottery. You can't possibly win unless you buy a ticket.
  23. Guys, I fully agree that buying a "real" spray booth is a better idea than building one yourself. I was just curious about the bathroom fans being "safe" for a homemade booth. I also agree that a bathroom fan probably doesn't really have the muscle to do the job when used in a spray booth.
