  1. Geez, Carl, that's not exactly a tough one to guess!
  2. Maybe it's time for people to pay attention to the crossing signals.
  3. Sorry, NW suburban Chicago only.
  4. That looks like any number of '40s actresses. No idea...
  5. I though this thread was regarding "Who's that Lady?"
  6. I guessed you missed the previous posts. She has already been ID'd.
  7. The toilet in the master bath was leaking at the floor seal. I called a few local plumbers for a quote, and one of the places I called gave me a very reasonable price... way lower than the other quotes I got. Almost too good to be true. So I asked the customer service lady "is that the real price? No surprises when they show up and give me the bill"? She assured me that was the real price... no tricks, no gimmicks, no hidden fees. Well, when the guys came (there were two of them), they shook my hand and introduced themselves. A very nice start, IMO. They were both very professional, yet also friendly... they told me a few hilarious stories of jobs that they had been on, including a lady who equipped a bathroom with 24K gold fixtures... for her dog! Yep, it was the dog's bathroom! They removed the toilet, put in a new floor seal, reinstalled the toilet, cleaned up, and were finished in half an hour. I have been very lucky lately as far as contractors go. A few weeks ago I posted my experience with the roofer who fixed the plumbing vent stack. And now, another home run with the plumbers. Almost restores my belief in the inherent goodness of humanity, and I am a very cynical guy.
  8. Agreed. When a society has "standards," it's a better society IMO. Call me old-fashioned... and maybe I am. But when we had standards, we were better off.
  9. Well then you got a good deal! $160 is MSRP. That is a very nice model.
  10. Not to beat this topic to death, but another example of Spaz-Stix... grille shell and wheels...
  11. Can't see the photo.
  12. Bill, I can't vouch for Spaz-Stix' durability. I try not to handle a part too much once I apply the stuff, but from my experience it's pretty sturdy and not too fragile.
  13. Years ago, Sammy Sosa and Mark McGuire were both having monster seasons and chasing the all-time single season home run record. Remember? Sosa was an absolute hero to Cubs fans. Well, one day, Sosa was at bat and his bat shattered when he hit the ball. The corked bat was suddenly there for everyone to see. He came up with a super lame excuse about that bat being his "batting practice" bat and he had no idea how he happened to take an at-bat in a major league game with that bat. Yeah... right. Anywho... the point is, that was for all intents and purposes the end of his Cubs career, and the end of his status as a north side hero. And well deserved. He was always a self-centered egocentric PITA. To see his career in Chicago end that way was sweet... Instant karma's gonna get you...
  14. No. Like Alclad, you need a gloss black base coat. Here's another example of Spaz-Stix. All the chrome on this model is Spaz-Stix. The chrome trees were messed up, the finish was more of a satin look than shiny chrome, so I stripped the trees and used Spaz-Stix... And I "chromed" the wheels on this one with Spaz-Stix...
  15. Yeah, Danno, this may be "old news" by now, but I'm happy to see the cheating Patriots and the cheating Tom Brady finally get what's coming to them. Sports is all about competition. Fair competition. When one side plays by a different set of rules, the contest is pointless and illegitimate. Sure, underinflated footballs aren't exactly the same as a corked bat or a cyclist who's doping, but it's still playing outside of the rules... and playing outside of the rules is cheating no matter how you slice it. I love the photo that Rob posted. "Cheaters exit here." Perfect.
  16. None of them?
  17. Can you buy it online? That's how I got it. The results are just spectacular. The photo I posted doesn't do it justice.
  18. Another one...
  19. No and no...
  20. Did you use the airbrush alclad? Have you tried Spaz-Stix spray? I get really good results with it, and no bothering with an airbrush...
  21. How about this one...
  22. Guess again...
  23. Or this one?
  24. How about this one?
