Very concerned about this lousy turn of events for Harry. He's such a great guy. As Cato has said, hopefully the sepsis will be cleared up, and his heart will recover. You are in our thoughts and prayers Harry.
Enough to do is an understatement..!!! I'm thinking that they will be kept busy well past their projected, announced retirement date in May 2017. I can't imagine the huge pile of orders that they have yet to process...
That's a great color for that car Bill. I also got lucky back in March of 2014 and got an unbuilt, unpainted, complete kit of this car on EBAY for $55......!!!!!! The parts are still on the sprues...!!! One of these days I'll pull it out of my TO DO pile to work on.
Another update...... I received another update from Carol Holthaus. I told her that I shipped the extra rear bumper to them yesterday at the Post Office. She said that they would ship me the front bumper as soon as it is received. She also advised that it would be about another 5 to 6 months before my order, which I placed on May 19th, would be shipped...!!! Wow...!!! I knew that they were inundated with orders but I didn't think it was that bad...!!!
While I usually only work on one project at a time, due to paint problems with a couple of cars, I currently have a '50 Cadillac, a '50 Oldsmobile, and a '32 Ford 5 window coupe in varied stages of work.
I also placed my last Modelhaus order back on May 19th and also ordered a '56 Plymouth interior which I'll be using in a '55 Plymouth promo. I also ordered a '50 Nash kit, a '57 Desoto kit, a '57 Lincoln kit and a '59 Oldsmobile kit. I'm very glad I placed the order when I did.
Today I finally received an Email reply from Carol Holthaus. While obviously apologizing for the error, she said to return the extra rear bumper and they would ship me a front bumper. Will do ASAP.
Yeah, they actually are flushable...... but they don't "disintegrate" in water like toilet tissue does. They can and will clog your sewer and or cesspool lines, and they clog up the sewer treatment facility plants. If you use them, you unfortunately have to "bag them" and then dispose of them in the trash to avoid any issues.
