  1. It appears that the same day you wrote your 10,000th post, I achieved Ohana status! You're rubbing off on me!
  2. I, too, have made a change. Same car concept, different style............& time period!
  3. Yippee!!!!!! 10,000 posts & not a boring one yet! I congratulate you on not shear #'s, Doc, but the entertaining & informative content you consistantly share. You have inspired & challenged me to try new things. I've recently started my first "Rat Rod" build for 08seal's CBP & will be looking your direction for tips, etc. (past builds, etc. lol, I won't bother you personally!) Thanks for being here for us "newbies"
  4. I'd now like to announce my intentions of seeking the Independent Party's nomination for President in 2012!!! LOL! Great chatting with you as well, Danny! BTW I found my extra Dremel if your interested, LMK.
  5. My '94 1500 has a 350 Vortec with a 700R4 & a cracked piston.
  6. It's now impossible to consider Petty a traitor for his 1969 "defection". Scott, these are awesome racecars!
  7. Try signing something in mid-air without resting your hand on a flat surface & see if it looks like your signature. Now try it on a slick model car roof. Now try it when you're 89 (?). I wouldn't buy it, just sayin'.....
  8. Now THAT is an excellent idea! I'm not game, but I'd love to see it done.
  9. Beautful ride. Understated elegance.
  10. I love this out of the ordinary stuff. Definitely my kind of build. looks hot dressed in yellow. Stance is perfect, wheels make it pop.
  11. If you took away the roof rack, board, Fuchs, & SOME of the rust, it looks like my 1st daily driver circa 1978!!! Groovy dude!!! But don't cuz it looks way cooler like this!
  12. Aftermarket slant-6 ?
  13. It's '53-'55. It's hard to tell on my cell screen, but the grille looks custom. It's not a '53, '54 or '55 stock grille.
  14. I SEE SOME RUST! Oh, my screen was dusty! Very sweet paint job. I didn't know you had shiny in ya, lol. Can't wait to see more.
  15. Wow! Just when I thought I'd seen it all! Very cool.
  16. I have to modify nearly everything I touch, lol. So for me, it's a jeweler's saw and a good selection of files.
  17. I couldn't say about NASCAR shocks, but I know Monroe street shocks were yellow, FWIW.
  18. OK. I just re-read my last post; I'm not trying to be argumentative at all....however, LOL...what about Pegasus wheels? I bought 6 sets of 19" T's 5or6 weeks ago cuz I finally found a place that had them in stock. They're comparable to a parts pack engine. I'm using different tires, but what would be the ruling on packaged rims?
  19. What if you used the 427 cammer but used a different intake set-up out of the parts box ? It seems the rules will need to be very precise & strict or very loose & laid back. Either way it's an "honor system" situation. I have no business buying anything with all the extra parts I have. I'm quite certain nearly everyone has more than I. I will go by whatever you decide. It can be easy or hard but above all it should be fun!
  20. I built one box stock once. Then I got my 2nd model !
  21. I'm not a big FoMoCo guy, but I would get one because of its oddity. I've never seen a kit in person & I like almost anything out of the ordinary.
  22. Beautiful car !
  23. I agree 100%
  24. I like it.
