I just checked out 2-lane black top from my local library not long ago on DVD. All kinds of behind the scenes, & history of the cars & actors. Quite riveting for us car guys.
Any of you old farts remember this movie? I saw it twice, the last time prolly '70-'71? It was a horrible flick but had an awesome '58-'62 vette gasser style street rod. I'd LOVE to see it again!
Thanks Harry, you may have saved a paint job.......I only sand off emblems if I'm going for a shaved, custom look. Otherwise I plan on using BMF. Haven't yet, but it's coming up really soon!
When I started building, the muscle car era was coming to an end. Not much interested me from '73 on so that probably got me started on the classic hot rods. T-buckets, '32 Fords, '40s. Any kits of '50s cars always caught my eye. There are so many more options today than there was in the '70s, that I now, almost exclusively buy '60s era cars. It seems like I've always preferred cars that were 30-40 years old, no matter how old I was (am).
Hey Mike, it wasn't me, I swear, I promise! I wasn't even in the same room....LOL! Dale did it, I just suckered right on in & didn't even look at the dates! Hey, I learned something though, so all is not lost,hahahaha....
I just got my first Dupli-Color primer because it was suggested for my 1st resin kit. I have used their paints to replicate factory colors. Love the paint, hope I love the primer.
Last weekend we were driving through the small town of Rootersville (if I'm lyin' I'm dyin') TX. A sign in a yard said "We buy junk". 100 feet later in the same yard, another sign said "we sell antiques"!
