  1. Nice pics, Jim. Looks like a lot of fun! Powerful kind of you to include some rust & rot for your SHINY-blind friends.
  2. Cool project. I think you should cheat & show us the truck too!??!!
  3. You got that right, my friend! The American dream has changed. It used to be a decent job, a couple of kids, a house with a white picket fence, a car in the drive & a dog. Now everyone wants whatever it takes to be better than the next person & to do as little as possible to get it.
  4. Very nice. I would love to build this kit. I like the surf theme. Great work all around. Nice wagon as well!
  5. This is SO awesome. I love the colors. Beautiful car!
  6. I'm a big wagon fan, especially woodies(I'm starting a '41 Plymouth soon). This is one of the nicest I've seen. Very realistic.
  7. Coming along nicely, Scott. Ya got me on the edge of my seat!
  8. I have the Polar Lights kit. It's a snap kit, but you will need glue for the engine. With some extra detailing it looks good. My biggest disappointment is the grille, but again, extra detailing will make it look good.
  9. I try to live by a very simple code. Treat everyone a little better than they treat you. Most times it's very easy. Sometimes it's nearly impossible. But if someone is mean, kindness will usually calm them down. If not it usually makes them madder, which sometimes can be rewarding as well. "Kill 'em with kindness"!!!
  10. This is really cool, I like it alot.
  11. Lookin good Curt! Coming along nicely. Fantastic engine detailing!
  12. I vote for the blue & white. Either way, I'm glued to the screen! Glad to see you putting the King back in a Mopar!
  13. Resin Motor Replicas Has a few nice looking COEs from that era, but I don't think they do that particular one.
  14. .....The more people I get to know, the better I like my dog!!!!!
  15. I have to agree with Pete L. the greatest skill advancement I have achieved is patience. I have now 14 projects ranging from straight-forward builds to radical customs. When something starts irritating me, I box it up & pull out another project. My 2nd strongest skill (maybe asset?) is creativity. I have a few VERY radical customs in the fold that I can only hope my skills can keep up with my imagination. I would LOVE to sell my work, but not on a commission basis. I have to build what I'm interested in.
  16. What a BEAST!!! I love it.
  17. My tastes must be expanding. Usually not my cup of tea, the nailhead helps I think. Nice, solid effort all the way around. l have to agree about the flatheads.
  18. ......That makes perfectly good sense!
  19. James2 & Scott Colmer: If you guys are gonna design & build models like these, ya'll could use squirt guns to paint 'em & it wouldn't mess 'em up!! VERY beautiful & imaginative work! Scott: I'm getting close to taking you up on your aluminum tutorial.....especially after seeing these builds, lol!
  20. ....Ding,ding,ding....we have a winner!
  21. .......OMG, Chuck! "Strength through joy". Is that 2-4bbls on a Corvair motor? I can't wait to see this built.
  22. OMG, brother! Carry on best you can! My thoughts & best wishes are with you.
