I've been working on completing this master for several years, and it's finally in production. These are being cast by Missing Link Resin. I built one to see how it would go together. The donor kit is the 1976 Torino. Like any resin kit, I had to sand parts here and there, but it really went together without too much drama. I used the Torino engine because with all the accessories I chose to add, you can hardly see it. Several people on this board helped me get this to the finish line. I hope you feel free to add to the thread and take a bow. As I said before, this is my last (and probably best) master. 3D printing and age have taken their toll.

Screwed up the quote. Your answer is right above. -

I have one last Motor City Resin Econoline. The other two are pictured below. The 3rd unit wasn't complete, as I had used some body parts to make the sliding door red van. I decided to make a camper out of the last one, and thought I'd share what I have so far. I only had two external shots of the camper, but luckily they showed both sides. It's been pretty trouble-free so far, we'll see how it goes. I think this is an old Shasta camper. The camper sides are .060 styrene with evergreen (.015 x .080) strips.

White 7000 Thurston Truck Lines

Thank you for the kind words. My front axles are made to take the weight. The cab is not resin. It's scratchbuilt. See: -
Kevin Lutz will be selling these thru Missing Link Resin (probably on eBay or some other avenue). I'm building mine currently. There are no plated parts, but mine are currently with the Spotlight service. I plan to bring it to the spring Detroit show ( The DAAM show). Here's what I've got so far... Hard to believe this multi-year project is finally out there.

That looks great! You did a real nice job on it. It's very gratifying to see one of them built.

Chevy Inline 6 "Turbo Thrift" model engine resin 3D printed 1/25 1/24 | eBay
-
I mastered a 1968 Chevrolet 4 door sedan based on the Supernatural '67 Impala. I had a run of them cast and sold them on eBay some time ago but hadn't actually built one. Finally got around to it and thought I'd share the results. The engine is 3D printed (bought from eBay), and I added separate door handles from the '66 Chevelle wagon. Color is Butternut Yellow touchup paint. Note: There was no "250" badge for the front fender marker light. I should have sanded off the displacement badge, but didn't catch the error until the car was painted. What are you going to do? I went ahead and made a fictitious "250" badge.

Never mind. I found one. Thank you!

Which issue? All of them?

If anyone has a Revell 1966 Chevelle wagon, and intends to shave the handles, I could use a set or two of the door handles (which are separate parts) for a project. Thanks!

3D woes continued. I noticed the cab has acquired a noticeable "smile" when viewed from the front and rear. Because I have so much wrapped up in this, I removed the offending parts, sanded certain edges, and was able to re-assemble the cab minus the smile. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures. If the cab acquires any more deformities, you will never see it in the BUILT section. I will never buy a 3D printed item in the gray resin again, I have finally learned my lesson. I have had no issues with items printed in white or tan. If I can save this cab, I still have three others that cannot be saved. No more gray. Ever.

Anyone deal with Motor City Resin Casters?
Repstock replied to gbtr6's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I learned my lesson very early in the game, and stopped buying from him years ago. -
The Sunrunner grille is not entirely correct, as it's missing the gap between the grille and the surround. Still, it's the only kit option.

I'm still working on this one. Here's what I've got right now. I'll get better shots when/if I finish this.
