  1. Haha. I live on earth and have a large toy box of cars that all would outperform whatever gm has to throw at me. Different strokes for different folks. Ford has been building cars like this for years. Like the 93,95 and 2000 cobra R perhaps. It is what it is I guess. I will admit that it is a great time to be a car enthusiast no matter what brand you prefer.
  2. I would leave them as is on this car. I love it
  3. They look good. But these corvettes did swing outside the fender
  4. I was just looking at the pics again and you would have been better off using door bottoms from an svo. Anniversary cars have red svo rub strips and not the typical door trim
  5. Still heavy underwhelming car that costs 75k and does not have air cond. good job government motors...
  6. Haha. What did that cost vs the 14 shelby in my garage that has been proven to run 202 stock.....
  7. You know, I won't lie. When I first saw this I was like "meh". I wasn't sure. But now I look and it's simply awesome!! Well done sir well done
  8. Yup. I have seen several key mustangs in person. Malco gasser, tasca, green hornet, first boss 9. I attend the odd Shelby convention etc. when I say I'm hardcore it's a bit of an understatement. I'm a paint daub casting number kind of mustang guy lol
  9. So I should build a motor soon I guess hey?... Lol
  10. Thanks bogger. I also have all the parts to build the car in your avatar. I have had the pleasure of seeing the 1:1 and it's awesome. Couldn't tell I'm a due hard ford nut. I also own the car in my avatar. Lol
  11. JOHN!! You build such great models of odd subjects. I admire your work very much!
  12. It's now under glass. Thanks for all the kind words. Next mustang is the lawman boss...
  13. Thanks for the kind words. I am a Torino nut. I am currently on the hunt for a 1:1 70 429 4 speed cobra
  14. Here is my twister mach 1 along with my twister Torino. I had a big WIP on the mach. It had a lot of work done from start to finish. Hope you guys like it.
  15. 67 is totally different from a 66. Basically it breaks down like this. 64.5-66, 67-68,69-70,71-73,74-78,79-93,94-98,99-04,05-09,10-14. Each year in these groups had slight changes but shared platforms. Example 69/70 same platform but nose and tail differences. Technically from 79-04 the fox platform was basically the same even though the sheet metal was different. Back to your question though. For 67 the platform was bigger and the engine bay enlarged to take the 390 fe series engine that was new for 67 in the mustang. The interiors were changed a bit as well. Too many changes to jot down to be honest. If you want to know something specific I can help. Worked on and owned just about every year mustang lol
  16. DetAils on the Buick please.....
  17. Very cool. A 70 Torino gt honeycomb taillight setup would look deadly on there!
  18. Awesome! Just awesome! Bee stripe for sure. OR. The bee stripe that turns and goes down the side.
  19. I use that as well. Have had good luck with both though. Just prefer the faster work time of the lacquer
  20. thanks for all the kind words. It will be under glass tomorrow.
  21. I usually won't foil for at least a week but part of paint lifting is the prep before paint but that is a whole different topic. I echo the others that a fresh blade and the weight of the knife is all it takes. Also, when you burnish it down don't go much past the edge of the trim. On windows I burnish the high points really well but only lightly on the edge. Then after it's cut and the excess is gone I finish burnishing it down. That way very little is ever stuck to the paint very well. Also I black out the sides of my blades with a sharpie so I can see where I'm cutting
  22. Yes. He still has them and a nice 5.0 5 speed 84 lx convertible. I have the holy Grail Capri in my possession plus a couple other cool but not as uncommon capris
  23. That paint is just begging for the yellow-red laser stripe vs the white-blue. But I know I lost that battle lol
  24. Good start. I went to Florida a few years ago with my friend and we brought back 2 turbo 4 anny verts and a 5.0 5 speed anny solid roof. All from same collection. Low mileage mint cars all still on good original rubber that's how nice they are. The turbo verts are the rarest anny cars
