Reason for that Casey is the hood black out was not an option on the standard gt hood. It was an option on shaker gt's too. It will look good though. Does the gt kit come with the rear slats or is it the cobra? Either way I have an extra set if we want them on it. Really set off that black hood
The GT didn't come with hood blackout. Only the cobra did. I think it might look ok if you did it with the proper pinstripe border. I'm not a big fan of just putting a black hood on it but that's just me
I have spent some time with all variations including 69/70 boss 429s and personally the styling of the 70 Mach with the user friendly 351c 4 speed combo is my favorite. Boss 302s are not much fun on the street due to the lack of low rpm grunt and the boss 9s in factory trim are a bit doggy and too valuable to rip around in
Managed to get a little more in on this. Jambs all match up to interior now. Couple little things to do on them. I got some primer on them and they look ok to me. Trunk underside details are in at this point as well
I have built several of these and my truck for the tail lights setup is this. I paint the honeycomb pe part flat black ( as it should be) then I take some semi gloss clear and use it as glue to hold it on then spray the whole assembly with it. Works every time
Not quite accurate on the gt part. Earlier cars 65-66 you had to get the 4 barrel carb engine. The A code was the base GT engine. The base v8 was the C code 2 barrel 289
Congrats. A dream job for sure. A place that allows you to build and create other peoples dreams. Can't help it, you gonna restaa saam muuuscle caaas....
Oh. And build some haaat raaads... Lol. J/k buddy
Got a bit more done. Everything opens! Don't mind the wheel and tire combo. That's for a lawman project but were handy! One door jamb coming along. Comments good or bad welcome
