  1. How are you going to do the exterior paint to match the 1:1? I spent a little while with one of these and they are a fine piece of machinery
  2. May I ask what base color under the orange or just grey sealer? On my super bee I am going this color and may try a gold base
  3. I can help too
  4. I second that. Service replacements have black centers in my experience. Bad experience lol
  5. Right on Al. Can't wait to see what you come up with in the future.
  6. I did that very thing but into an anny car come 83 gt. Not totally correct but it fits. It should be in the dead build section lol
  7. That's what I wanna do with my first ones. I have a stack of 84 anniversary cars I gotta do!
  8. Very nice work there.
  9. Nice stuff! Are the grille and fenders modified 32 ford parts?
  10. I still have to paint the pullies, mount the alternator and a whole bunch more but I will get it.
  11. been a while with work and my boys playing lacrosse but I found an hour tonight to get some things done on this. I got some paint on some things. I made an electric water pump from pictures on some mopar boards. I mocked it up so you good folks could have a look. what do you think so far?
  12. Hey no worries. This is good debate on what's right and wrong on any subject. It may prove helpful to some people who have not spent as much time with the 1:1 as some of us here have. It's funny too because as this has went on it's clear to see that even on an assembly line no two cars are identical in execution
  13. I think I will cut the roof off and build a nice set of feature cars. Starting with the 7 up car then yellow one, white one and red one...
  14. I agree. Back on topic lol. My late build 84 rs has some 85 stuff on it but that being said, it has black pan my 85 rs has grey my 85 gs 5.0 has black and my 89 lx has black. I really think it's a tossup. When rebuilding I went gray as that is the common route. Also the rear ends are sketchy on what's correct. I bought a few of mine new and had very little paint. Even my Shelby the tubes and housing are nearly raw metal
  15. A good example is I have seen a bone stock 87 gt engine apart and it had E6 heads not the common E7 pieces so sometimes they use what the have. I myself have had 25 or so mustangs and currently have 8 at home so I know my way around them too : )
  16. I believe that could be either way on the pans. I have personally seen both black and gray pans on stock original cars. I have 3 with black pans and one with a grey pan myself. The MCA is compiling a concours rule book on these cars and having a heck of a time as sometimes when demand overrun supply changes were made. I would say either way is correct
  17. I think the seats look ok. The grey gut in my 89 were not very dark
  18. Is that a titanium color on there? My buddy had one in that color with black interior. Was a 91
  19. That's a nice combo
  20. Is that a reef blue gt?
  21. I saw one up here that was white with white rims and it looked awesome
  22. Are you over on foureyedpride? I spend alot of time there as I have a few capris. There are some sweet turbo GTs over there
