I would like to add a little aside to your story. I inherited my grand father's watch many years ago. As a young man he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and was based in Chicago. His watch may have been one of these watchs, it has the name Mastercraft on the face. While the watch means a lot to me personaly, I realy hope that the railroad didn't run on this watch. You can wind it up all you want and it will still not keep time. Thankyou for the story.

No question this person is an idiot and should pay for the restoration of the street and the cost of the rescue. I'll bet his auto insurance will go up also. This sort of thing happens more than you might realize. In the resent past in a "Upscale" area in Johnson County Kansas a new off ramp from a major highway was put down in the mid-day. During rush hour several cars went around the barricades and drove up the off ramp. Some made it out, but after an untold number made it thru a couple of SUVs got stuck. Yes it was a mess. The drivers were charged, and the road contractor or county was able to get some of the expenses back from the drivers and their insurance companies. Too quote the comedian Ron White, "You can't fix stupid".

That grill looks very unique. What do you have planed for the bumpers and interior?

Engine color depends on what look you're going for. Personaly I like the Chevy Ornage, with the alloy heads and timeing and such. Lots of shadeing could be done. If your going for a stock car you almost have to show it as is. Might take a look at a local Chevrolet dealer to see how Chevrolet built it. It's upto you. Like Burger King, you get it your way. Keep use posted.

Great looking models. Always interesting how shows go in different parts of the world. Question about the display. I see several models grouped together on a display shelf. Are these from one builder, or are the competing in the same "class" ?

He seems very proud of his stuff. I guess he can always come down on his price if gets anyone close to his price. He might be starting high to get someone to up their bid going in.

That is realy clean. The windshield almost looks like its "chopped". Outstanding detail on the engine and interior.

I like how you kept the '53s side trim. Good idea on the suspension. Since your useing the Mustang suspension, and it is a unibody car anyway, It will look like you dropped the '53 body on top of a Mustang. Which is what you have done anyway. Please post updates.

Looks great. I wondered what you would do with the passanger side slideing door. That would make a great "TAIL GATE" party van for a Football game.

These base models of high end manufactures like Oldmobile, Pontiac and others make great street rods. Can you share the supplier of this body? I would like to see what other models they may offer. Do you supply the interior and chassis?

Realy outstanding colors on both cars. Wheels can be very personal, and change the look of a car from one style to another. Maybe some of the late model Camaro type wheels or some wires. All depends on the "look" you're going for. I realy like that Olds.

Some one over on the Diorama section has a garage scene where he has a functioning lift and rollup garage doors. Might give you some ideas.
