  1. There appear to be a fair amount of people directly involved with the production of this kit active in this particular thread. Somehow I think comments made here just might make their way to the appropriate people!
  2. It appears to me that the cab's B pillar is rather thick compared to the real truck. I don't care, I'm still going to buy far more of these than I should!
  3. I actually kinda like the truck grille...
  4. Oooh! Gonna have to get me one of those!
  5. A little while back I picked up about six kits in various stages of completion from a local thrift shop. The build quality on these kits is really quite good, with the ones furthest along having the engines plumbed and heater hoses added and what not. One of them is this 1964 Mercury Marauder. It is a 1995 reissue of the original customizing kit and the body is quite far along with customization. The "suspension" is lowered and it looks pretty neat. The quandry I'm having is: do I scrap it all and start fresh with my own ideas or finish what the original builder had intended? The blending of the front and rear panels is quite good but I can see a little bit of the body work evident. Also, the hood has some orange peel but overall the paint is pretty good.
  6. You went from Momad to Momagea (Magnum + Nomad + Stagea) with that grille!
  7. A 6 lug and an 8 lug version would be great!
  8. Charlie, depends how far back.
  9. One swap I always wanted to try was to take an 83-92 Ranger, swap the front clip and radiator support to the 89-92 style if 83-88, and put in a grille and headlights from a Mazda Navajo. Grab the steering wheel too, and with your engine swap you'll have a phantom B5000!
  10. Another one from SaintJohn, NB.
  11. Thanks, Luc! I suspected as such, but have never actually seen a Warlock in the plastic, as it were.
  12. Last month I managed to snag built up versions of the 1975 issue and the Off-Road Camper issue, and noticed that there are actually three different trims represented in these kits and two different tail gates. I have edited the original posts to reflect this. Also, can anyone with a Warlock confirm/deny any side trim?
  13. The problem with using vinegar is that it will actually erode concrete. When I worked in a materials testing lab we used vinegar to clean the concrete testing equipment. Put a slump cone in a bucket of vinegar for a few days and it looks brand new!
  14. Any replacement wheels you find are going to be based on the promo wheels. They're pretty good.
  15. It dries up pretty stiff. My mom uses it for raised domes on crafts and stuff. Pretty high surface tension if you are careful with it and sets up pretty hard.
  16. My mom is in to Stampin' Up in a big way and part of her arsenal of craftiness is this stuff called Crystal Effects. I snagged a mostly-used up bottle from her and use it to make lenses on grilles that have molded in headlights. It is really thick so it doesn't flow far (if at all). The bottle isn't very helpful, just says "Clear Craft Lacquer" and "Acid free, Nontoxic, Washable". As for the stuff actually is...
  17. The "snap" kit is the dually promo, which first came out in 1990 I believe and ran through to 1998. I have a 1994 and a 1998 promo. The snap kit release has the 95-96 style dash.
  18. The Fotki album is from our club photographer, but here is the club's website gallery breakdown. I think we had a secondary photographer this year and his stuff would be on the main website. http://capitalareamodellers.ca/galleries/CAMS2014/index.html
  19. There is also a 2010 Mustang GT hard top full glue kit and a 2010 Mustang GT convertible snap kit. Should be readily available online.
  20. Here is a link to our official Fotki album. http://public.fotki.com/ScottM/hobby-shows/cams-show-2014/
  21. Wow, finally someone that might have as many of the MPC squarebody kits as I do! I have about four of them on the go right now. Don't even get me started on all the other WIPs I have piled up...
  22. It was a long seven months, but I received a parcel today: My original Odyssey, plus the first three shots out of the mold. He doesn't have it listed on his website yet but it will probably sell for between $25-40.
  23. So it seems the issue is with the cab rather than the beds. I like the older cabs due to the trim on them; I'll look into either sectioning the cabs or maybe even widening the beds. Of course, this ends up being a moot point with the steps ide bed.
  24. I think the term they are looking for is non volatile .
