  1. Just stellar! That build will ge t everyone's attention!
  2. Like Tom, everything I paint gets a rattle can coat, or airbrushed. That's just me, and it's easier and faster for me. Also, most items get some time in the dehydrator (that round thing to the left in the image) to speed things along.
  3. Really nice build, John! Many of John's metal axle models are in the "General" part of MCM forums, listed under Metal Axle Madness. Check 'em out!
  4. Terrific work, John! Looks like you're having fun, which is what we're all supposed to be doing with our builds.
  5. Bummer! I guess the return on investment didn't pan out.
  6. I demand to see the certificate! First! Is it frame worthy?
  7. Smoooooooooooooooth!
  8. That's It! I'm officially humbled, and not worthy!
  9. One more prehistoric Car Model magazine. I have more, but I need to find them. R&C features the iconic Dream Truck.
  10. I built three box art models for AMT/ERTL about twenty years ago. Ain't I a professional? But seriously? I've seen that pro-built term used on eBay, and it equates to the seller trying to wring a few more dollars out of his auction.
  11. The ones I have are pretty raggedy, and the images I've posted have been enhanced a bit.
  12. You guys are on a roll now! Keep 'em coming, and thanks!
  13. This thread (topic) might not work for the whippersnapper members, but I'm gonna bet there are many MCM members that remember, or own the classic "little page" magazines. So, I'll start. At some point, I'll show you the current little page magazines, although there aren't that many. If you have some, show 'em!
  14. Very cool! Great swapping of parts!
  15. Depraved is what my sister would say. Definition of depraved (adj) de·praved [ di práyvd ] corrupted: showing great moral corruption or wickedness
  16. Good points made here, particularly as regards eBay. Some eBay sellers will deal with you off eBay if their auctions tank. Believe me, I've done it more than once.
  17. The Alclad number is 5114. $14.95 for a 3 ounce can. It's not cheap, but a little goes a long way.
  18. Oh Yeah! Now we're rollin'! Excellent metal axle builds, John!
  19. Pretty daggone cool! Well done!
  20. I can't imagine no Internet in my life. Between eBay, Amazon and a host of forums similar to this one, I can entertain myself (and empty my wallet). All good! BTW, I ain't no spring chicken. I basically taught myself how to use a computer in the nineties (using an ancient Gateway PC a relative gave me). Same for digital photography.
