  1. I have a bunch of Norm's products, and they're ALL top-notch! He offers a '32 Ford firewall mastered by Rik Hoving (and another by Lyle Willits), and they are just the bomb! I'm using the Hoving version for a future project.
  2. Nice start! Revell's nineties '32 highboy appears on eBay frequently, and often at the right price. They're out there.
  3. Great start!
  4. Release date (according to Revell) is May. Late May, so figure early April before they're seen in stores (earlier for those signed up for Revell's Preferred Partner program).
  5. WOOF! Made me sit up and notice! Very cool!
  6. WOW! Expertly done! Awesome!
  7. The entire Falcon series in the Trumpeter line is discontinued. The two U.S. importers are now in the process of closing them out, so if you want 'em, get 'em now.
  8. The Big Tub is basically discontinued by Revell. Whatever's in the hobby shop pipeline is the last of it. Get it while you can, because an eBay purchase of the same kit later on can be expensive with shipping added. It's BIG!
  9. Produce a good, dropped I-beam/spring axle, and I'm waaaay in. For multiples!
  10. I'm guessing that some quality time in a dehydrator will produce the same result.
  11. A hat can be steamed for the best overall texture and flavor. Figure on using a serrated knife to cut it. Perhaps a nice marinade would help?
  12. Oh Yeah! Awesome build!
  13. Huh? I thought that was me that posted the little video?
  14. I'd say to try the Danbury Mint McMullen car, but it's now unobtanium, except for the sky-high prices for it on eBay. I have one, and it's gorgeous.
  15. Thanks for the compliments! I always thought the AMT '32 Vic had a chopped look to it, and that's why I modified the AMT body to fit the Revell fenders, etc. It's a little narrow from side to side, but the conversion seems to look OK.
  16. Yep. Revell strung us out on the '32 roadster kit. That's the one I REALLY wanted!
  17. Uhhh. Not quite. That's the Revell '32 five window body next to the RR. The "old" Revell roadster body is a much closer fit to the Rat Roaster body, in terms of cowl measurement. "Old". REVELL RELEASED THEIR LINE OF NEW TOOL FORD '32'S BACK IN 1996. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S BEEN THAT LONG AGO. 17 YEARS! I'm still buying first round releases (donut box kits, and before) on the 'Bay. I can't help myself.
  18. You knew that was coming....
  19. This is my Pace booth. It's about five or six years old now, and it's the best tool related item I've ever purchased. To the left is my dehydrator, which is now twice as tall, with the addition of more rings. The booth vents directly outside.
  20. Well written, well said! The Rat Roaster is sort of like Revell "fast food", as opposed to their '50 Olds and '57 Ford kits, to name a few. If the Ford and Olds kits are steak, Stacey David's '32 is a cheeseburger. I like a good cheeseburger from time to time. I'd like a good steak all of the time, but we can't always have steak, can we?
  21. Never in person that I can recall. Neat little car!
