  1. Whoa , that's a lot of warpage ! If the water was hot enough to do that you wouldn't have been able put your hands in it ! Maybe something abut the plastic used in that old kit is different . . . I guess it doesn't really matter what caused it . Too bad , it looks like a nice little kit . Hopefully you can get another body !
  2. Really nice Jim ! I like the Un - gasser idea and your Henry J really fits with the new suspension fitted to it ! Nice work .
  3. Looks great Nick ! The orange looks good with all of the black trim . I'm not familiar with these vehicles . . . but that's got to be the biggest windshield washer reservoir I've ever seen !
  4. Great looking '29 ! Really clean and the engine detailing is just right ! Nice work .
  5. It's really looking good Dave ! I like the lowered ride height .
  6. One of my favorite body styles and you've done a wonderful job with this ! Very very nice .
  7. Very nicely done Randy ! And that red paint is gorgeous !
  8. Wow , straight out of the box is good ! That is beautiful !
  9. It looks like a very nice kit Ray ! Those solid headlight covers are correct for a race ready Cheetah , but I agree with you that clear ones would look much better . Maybe you can find a clear package with the proper curvature to it or maybe a water bottle ? The grille opening is just that . . . it's open ! I was thinking of putting a black screen on the inside or maybe some driving lights set inside the opening . And it won't look right without some more meat on those wheels ! The ones included are probably the right letter size tire but in scale they look too small ! I haven't even started my Cheetah yet , in fact you'll be done with yours before I do ! Can't wait to see it !
  10. There's a lot of work involved here . . . Excellent job ! Love the Hot Wheels tires on the wagon .
  11. That's a real beauty , nice job !

    Manx 4X4

Ah , there it is . . . the coolest Manx build yet ! That's some very creative kit bashing and detailing , and the paint job looks perfect with the silver top and hood . Congratulations on a first class build !
  13. Thanks James ! I remember seeing that build , it's actually a '78 kit with a fabricated front end and hood . Nice work and a really wild paint job ! Thank you !
  14. My daily driver is a 1982 El Camino and I'm looking for another 60's - something to play with . Thanks Richard !
  15. Very cool , I really like your detailing !
  16. I've got the major body work finished but I still have a bunch of dips and scratches to fill and I have to rescribe the door lines . When that's all done I'll start adding the molding around the wheel arches and the bed . And I think the door window shape still needs some work ! And I've been working on the bed also . Here it is placed inside the body .
  17. That's pretty cool ! Love the Caddy taillights !
  18. How cool is that ? Fantastic work on the modifications and the flames are a nice touch !
  19. Now that's really Loooow ! Beautiful work and the satin finish is perfect !
  20. That's actually a very well built model ! I usually don't pay much attention to this style but as I started looking closer at your photos it was obvious that you've done a lot of detailing on this one . Excellent work !
  21. Thanks for the info Bill ! Do you have a part # for the 48 IDA carbs ?
  22. Now that's a really sharp looking truck ! Great color and an excellent conversion to a service truck ! Those SMBC Cleveland engines are nice , I hope you post some photos when it's done .
  23. Looks great Chuck , I don't see anything wrong with it ! I really like that resin grille , very nice .
  24. Thanks everybody for the comments ! I should have an update in a few days . Thanks Robert ! I don't no if this will compare to my '60 El Camino build but I'm going to give it a try . I'm putting the '77 front on it using the headlights from the Monte Carlo kit . The grille on mine was a plain eggcrate with a Bowtie in the middle and I had painted it black , should be easy to fabricate one ! I plan on using that interior as a starting point , not really sure at this point . It did have the swivel buckets .
  25. Thanks for the link Jim ! Now you've really got me interested !
