Nice looking build Ray , I really like the silver and black colors ! I'm not too sure about using the display for taking photos though . . . I was thinking of doing the same thing but now that I see it I'm not too sure . Maybe without the chains , they are a bit distracting .

I received my junkyard today and here are photos of the Cheetah body . It's not a Cox body and it's not cut , it is a 2 - piece body and it is very thin . The 3 3/4 " wheelbase makes it 1/24th scale . Someone has filled the openings in the hood and lightly sanded the entire body but otherwise it's in very good shape ! In all of my searches I've never seen another like it and haven't a clue who made it .

Yeah , I think we've all built at least one Manx recently . . . they're lots of fun ! I like what you did with this one , especially the painted windshield frame and the exhaust , looks really cool ! And DullCote works great on chrome , try it on an old part and see what you think .

It looks great all the way around Ray ! I like the BMF on the side and the DullCote on the chrome parts really looks good . Very , very nice . I gotta get one of these !

Now that is very impressive work ! If it wasn't on your cutting mat I'd never have guessed it was only 3" long ! Great job !

In case you've never seen the Modelhaus kit , here's what it looks like . Very nice !

It's nice but out of my price range . Modelhaus has a nice curbside for $60 which is what I'll probably end up buying . I just bought this junkyard on the bay because of what's in the upper right corner . I'm hoping it's a Cox body that's been cut and is still repairable !

As a wagon guy my heart skipped when I saw your build ! Beautiful 2 door wagon and the camper is pretty awesome too ! You've outdone yourself this time , great job . . . . too bad GM stopped making the 2 - door Chevelle wagon in '65 . The '66 - '67 is a much prettier body style !

An old CD works perfect . And you have to use acrylic paint ! Go to Michaels and by a small bottle of artist's acrylic paint for about $2 bucks and use very thin coats on the CD . If it doesn't look right on your tire just wipe it off with a wet cloth and try again . Sometimes I'll do a tire 5 or 6 times before I like it . Practice , practice , practice !!!

A Biscayne with a big block , WOW ! I owned one with a six in it . . . definitely like yours better ! Very nicely done .

That's looking really good Tim ! I really like what you're doing . I thought there was a font like that in MS Word ( I used it on my McLaren build ) but I don't recall the name . Dave Van is a member here , look him up in the members list . By the way . . . I've always felt that Elmo deserves a spot in the Hall Of Fame for all the years spent racing and driving the pace car . I talked with him a few times and he was a great guy ! Same goes for Harold Kinder .

Back then there wasn't much news from home so when I got back to the states and saw all of them I couldn't believe how bad they were ! Now I really love 'em , guess they grow on you !
