  1. Looks to be a fine looking model Stan ! Just one suggestion about the close-ups . . . sometimes they're too close and we can't really see the model .
  2. Beautiful model Ron ! I think 55's look great all black . As for selling your car . . . been there , done that .
  3. I agree with you Junior , it looks pretty good in your photo . But as soon as the windows and doors go in it's pretty obvious that the scale is different . It should be fairly simple to build new ones .
  4. That's a beautiful color ! Absolutely gorgeous model Tulio !
  5. Actually the Phoenix Toys engines are 1/24th scale . Nothing fancy though except for the plug wires and vacuum lines . I guess if you really hate painting your own engine ten bucks might be worth it .
  6. I think you did an awesome job on this and you shouldn't worry about the accuracy of minor details ! As an old Wood Brother's fan I'd be proud to have that on my shelf !
  7. Very , very nice ! Excellent work Tom !
  8. Agreed , that's a great looking hood ! I have one of those scoops too . . . thought it was from the '65 Galaxie kit but a quick check and it's not . Maybe someone else can identify it !
  9. Excellent tire choice , much better than the kit tires . You shouldn't rush this too much , with some engine parts from your stash and some extra detailing it can be a great looking model !
  10. Nice !! Back in '71 I didn't care for this body style but it sure looks great now !
  11. Looks pretty nice Bruce ! One thing I noticed is the screens on the engine cowl . . . very nice , I gotta remember to try that !
  12. Excellent W.I.P. Bill ! I'm glad you are back at your bench as I've always enjoyed following your builds . The chassis on this '59 is what really stands out to me , the details and the red - oxide primer just looks great ! Most people paint it black or body color and in my opinion it just looks wrong . And Roman Red is the perfect color ! I've owned one '59 and two 60's and still can't pick a favorite !
  13. Beautiful !! Is the candy red over white or gray primer ?
  14. Very nice work opening the rear and adding the Cleveland ! Two thumbs up !
  15. Thank you Rex , now I understand why I've never seen that engine before ! Any chance you will have other engine parts available ?
  16. Great work Dave ! It's perfect in flat black , gives it a real surfer look !
  17. Maybe not a serious subject but it's still a model and deserves the same attention as any other . After all these years I still enjoy building these kits and there are sites/forums dedicated to these kits . Nice job !
  18. I agree that would be great but how about a hint where the engine is from ? It looks to have a few decent pieces .
  19. Repeating what everyone else has already said . . . BEAUTIFUL !
  20. Any clear will make the inkjet run if applied to heavy . Make sure the decal is laying flat and spray a couple of light coats . I use Testor's Decal Bonder , but the One Coat should work too .
  21. Scale Modeling By Chris has a resin engine kit that might have one . I scratch built one for my kit .
  22. The only complaint I have about Rustoleum is the dang spray nozzles are garbage ! Haven't tried these Ultra Cover paints yet , please let us know how they work for you . Also those magazines really bring back memories of buying them back in the 60's and learning to draw cars from them ! Since I'm here , I got this kit on the bay a couple of weeks ago for less than a new kit at my LHS ! Missing the tires but otherwise complete . Now I can build the '82 sitting in my garage !
  23. Nicely done . . . I love salt racers !
  24. Same here , one is enough for me . I occasionally will start a second build but it's more just planning and collecting parts than actual building . As slow as I build I'd never finish anything with more than that going at the same time !
  25. Beautiful Longroof Niko ! Nicest one I've seen .
