Simichrome Polish , I've been using it for years and will swear by it . I have a set of American polished aluminum wheels that I bought in 1978 ( on a daily driver ) and they look brand new ! If you use it a lot of it a tube will last several years . You can find it at you local bike shop ( motorcycles ) or on line . If they try to sell you Flitz Polish don't by it , it's not the same . It also removes scratches from plastic windows and does wonders for BMF !

That's a beautiful airliner , I always liked the Eastern Airlines colors ! And I remember Flight 401 because I was at Miami Int'l . that night , planning to fly out in the morning . My flight was delayed .

Yep , it looks great ! Nice job making do when you're missing parts . You might try a little black wash on the grille , I think you'll like how it looks !

I looked at some photos and it's hard to tell what gold is correct . Some look rather subdued and others are very bright gold ! I would stay away from MM 1744 Gold as the metallic in it looks more black than it should . MM 2722 Champagne Gold looks like a match to the subdued color in some of the photos . And if you want a nice bright gold try Valspar 66009 Brilliant Gold , it's really nice !
