  1. You got the front end pretty much right on, and did very well on the side sculpting! Cool!
  2. Good looking Olds.............I think you actually built a replica stock by chance...........that color is just about a dead ringer for '75 Olds Cranberry metallic!!
  3. In my opinion, the light greys and tans are the best. You can see where you are sanding, and they are still a light, neutral color that primes over evenly.
  4. Looks good Jim, very '80's. Love the ghost stripe. Your really getting good at those paint tricks!
  5. Wanting to do a base model out of the AMT '71 Charger kit. Anybody making a flat hood and base model tail light panel for these? And, wish I could find a set of these hubcaps.
  6. Super clean! Great color.
  7. A van with wide whites?...............it looks awesome!!!
  8. Oh, yeah!!!! Now that's beautiful!!! Perfect!
  9. Thanks very much guys, for all the great comments! As a bunch of you know, my collection is quite a bit different than most modelers. But that's what makes this hobby so great! I always love going to see other builder's collections.
  10. Wow, this is just beautiful! Love the canted quads, the grille, and the tail lights. Tail lights look sort of reminiscent of '60 Merc.
  11. Got a great look to it. Nice!
  12. Rob, that's wild! I love it, from the color to the tires and straight six. Awesome!
  13. That's pretty cool! Reminds me a bit of the Ford Leva car.
  14. Nice build, and you got the tail lights right! So many folks overlook that area on these. Jasmine yellow it is. I had a '78 Newport in that color. Very cool.
  15. I love it just the way it is! Has a great patina.
  16. Great idea, and a beautiful build. I'm saving up to get this kit from Missing Link now.
  17. That one really pops! Love the two colors together. What colors did you use?
  18. Just finished this one up today. I bought it new in 1984. It's a JoHan re-issued X-EL promo. Took it apart, cleaned it, re-finished the interior correctly, buffed out the body (factory Turbine Bronze metallic), stripped and re-shot the bumpers in Alclad, (original chrome was shot), blackwashed where applicable, "redwashed" the tail light panel, and then did all the BMF. I've always wanted this in my case, now I can finally put it in there!
  19. Sweet! Love the blue with the red pinstripe combo.
  20. Looking good Jim...........I like the color and I like what you did with the engine. Looks way better than an air cleaner!
  21. Wow, 25 bucks a can!!!!!
  22. Mike, that's coming out nice so far. You gave some depth to the engine compartment and made it look less toy like. Love the green, and it's right on. Did you have it mixed up or did you find it somewhere? Not to copy, but I'd be interested in doing one of these in green as well. My dad had a wagon version for a company car from 81-84. He hated it. It was WAY underpowered, and banged and rattled alot, but it never let him down. In '85 they replaced it with a new model with the 2.5 motor. That was alot smoother and had a little more pickup. In '89 they gave him a Taurus wagon V-6 and there was no comparison!
  23. Good..................glad I waited to order!
