  1. COOL! I'm starting on the same project, but there are others that I'm wanting to work on ahead of it so not sure why I did that. Nice start on Yours Rex.
  2. Hey Tyler, have You had time to finished your Mach 1 yet?
  3. Hey Snake, I bought one of those as well, Ebay seller took my best offer of 10.00. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/130937-hey-snake-heres-what/?tab=comments#comment-1902004 The biggest difference between the 2 is the Crown Premiums version has opening hood, doors, and trunk.
  4. Well Snake, removed some tampo printed numbers and renumbered with a Fred Cady sheet, added a combination of Slixx and old kit contingency decals. Painted the headlight buckets and continued the white stripping ( and not very well..shaky hands) around the same area. Dechromed the wheels and repainted them. Removed the rear plate that read 1969, and it also had a gas cap on the rear panel. You know the tampo was surprisingly hard to remove from was the tires?
  5. Snake FU'd Crown Premium Boss 302
  6. Hey Randy, This how I got mine.......I Snake-FU'd by combining these items. Removed almost all the tampo, and ended up where it is now. Thanks for looking https://www.ebay.com/itm/Richard-Brickhouse-99-Crown-Dodge-1969-Dodge-Daytona-1-24-University-of-Racing/233363900360?hash=item36559287c8:g:P~IAAOSwFWVdnO29 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ace-Powerslide-99-Dow-1969-70-Charlie-Glotzbach-Nascar-decal/202642044268?hash=item2f2e68356c:g:FiEAAOSwR2xcojUT

  8. Don't forget to set your ignition timing ahead, accordingly as well!?
  9. ...And his hair was perfect, BIP!
  10. Mmmm,Hirohata Mercury!!
  11. Rex! is that Your Cobra? OMG that is Fn Great!!!!!
  12. Nice bit of Snake-FU ing Geno And those 2 do make a cool pair
  13. Sorry 'bout that Snake. And Randy, I was trying not to reveal too much info until I posted it sometime later.?
  14. OoPS! messed up the name Hirohata And yes. it is not too difficult to replicate and I have it underway BTW, just need to find the right color for the interior to finish it up.
  15. Sad to hear about the passing of Mr Terry Jones. Life of Brian and The Holy Grail are some of my favorite comedies!! It's been too bad that my wife doesn't get there humor...Like the last few days, I've been wearing my "Killer Rabbit! Runaway, Runaway" hooded sweatshirt some people get it some don't.
  16. Hey Randy my Holy Grail car would be The DM Hirohito Mercury. Also I'm on a quest for Jim Morrison's long lost "Blue Lady"
  17. Nice Snake! And the paint is rather cool too. What I've been using to polish is Turtle wax head light repair polish, I didn't know silver polish would work. JL's are pretty nice, imo the Revell would be much nicer if they had opening doors. Snake-FUing red on those Cougar tail lights makes them look lots better.
  18. That's a nice one Randy! Recently I bought one of those that was wrecked. Broken front suspension, missing front bumper and sill plates. But I got it for 22.00 with free shipping.... buyer accepted best offer. M2 made 65 Shelbys including that one based on the prototype. Revell also had a Creative Masters version, but in 1/20 scale. Nice score!!
  19. Hey Randy, that looks like the Revell version. By now I'm sure you have seen the original movie car that was made public a couple years ago......anyway. some years ago I also bought and put together one of those. When I took my out of the box it had been put away (and not carefully) in, it looked a lot like that; dirty and scratched.
  20. Snake, No! it worked incredibly easy. My wife asked me to buy her something called "cotton squares". Found then next to cotton balls and cotton swaps in Walgreens, so I'm sure CVS or Rite Aid would carry them also. Got pad good and wet, applied to body and wiped to loosen, then wiped off with a clean soft rag. Very easy
  21. Very Nice Randy! That paint looks great.....Way to go!!
  22. Thanks Randy maybe I'm showing my age but those "DUB" style wheels are too over the top for my taste.
  23. Thanks Rex and Snake, and I am considering putting some color to the rims. Those wheels and tires are from the Revell 1969 Shelby Motor City Muscle kit. See what I mean about how the stance for this version works well? Oh BTW Snake I was not a fan of that 2 tone paint but, that black came off with no problem with the old acetone trick! Also had to lose all the aero pieces as well. Side vent windows had to go along with those head lights too.
  24. BTW, this is how the finished kit is supposed to look
