While this is pretty cool I could never pull it off. I never would even try to acomplish this but my hats off to the people who have the talent to do this type of work.

Funny that you posted this. I just bought it an hour ago at Hobby Lobby. I built it as a child many years ago and as I remember it was good for the time. I am now 61 and maybe I am just trying to recapture my youth. I have been building a lot of the re-issues of older models lately. I have not yet popped it open so I can't confirm if there is a lot of flash or not. if there is, no big deal so I spend an evening cleaning up and maybe stripping some parts. It's part of the hobby.

I looked at this build again and just was thinking.......... how cool would that car look with a 63 split window vette roof. Whatcha think ?

That sure is some nice work you are doing.

I myself am not a perfectionist. Sure I want to build the best model I can and try to improve with every build but I don't sweat the stuff some do. I don't care if my engines firing order is correct or if some other detail is not like it would be on the real car. I build for fun and to try and get a certian look. Sometimes I achieve that and sometimes I do not.

I like the little bottle of Testors Chrome Silver for touching up the kit chrome. Doesn't someone also make a pen that is chrome silver ?
