  1. Ya Bob, I want to lower it. The front is no problem but not sure yet how to do the rear. Can I maybe just make the drive shafts go at a different angle ? I think thats my best bet. Also, I can only go so low with the fenders and the wheels and tires I have. I am thinking the round taillights from the Revell 49 Merc kit. I don't know about front lights yet. We shall see.
  2. If you contacted this person only once I myself would give it another go. If no responce and you can't return it with no cost to yourself I would just keep it. You can only do so much. Maybe you could sell it and then just write a check and mail the check to them ?
  3. My next build will be this Meyers Manx kit. I want to do it as a street buggy. So far I cut a slit in the back for a rear spoiler/small wing ? It will not end up sticking up as much as the photos show. I also drilled holes in the rear of the body for different taillights. I cut off and smoothed the posts in front where the headlights would normally mount. I just don't care much for the "Bug Eyed" look with the stock headlights.
  4. Holy cow ! Those shocks look great ! They look like little models all their own. Very nice work.
  5. That cotton looks pretty good.
  6. Thanks for the kind words guys.
  7. Looking good so far. Keep up the good work !
  8. Very nice build.
  9. I almost always use lacquer however for yellow I use Testors enamal. It works good over gray primer ( for me ) . Longer drying time for sure but the last car I did came out very good without any time of clear or polishing. Good luck !
  10. Thanks guys. I am glad you like it. I agree about the front axel, it should have been more forward. Oh well, gotta try and make the next one better. : )
  11. Thanks guys. That means a lot.
  12. Not sure what you want to do but if you can mask really good where you want the chrome to remain you can then spray the part with Easy Off in the yellow can. Do it outside use gloves if needed and then wash off. Don't know if this will work for you because as I said I am not clear on what it is you are wanting to do. Good luck.
  13. That's purddy.
  14. Car is done and I am pretty happy with it. Never completly happy. Comments are welcome both pro and con. Thanks for looking.
  15. This build is finished. Here is one photo. More will be in the Under Glass section if interested.
  16. I just bought this kit on ebay ( 18.99 with free shipping ) so I will be watching how this one comes out.
  17. That is very sharp !
  18. Looks great. Nice color.
  19. Very nice clean build.
  20. Don't recall who the seller was. A buddy says he thinks he has a set. If not I will get that 32, it has some beauties and are just what I am looking for. I guess once in a while someone must want the parts bad enough to pay those prices but like I said before....... it won't be this guy.
  21. I was/am needing some wheels and tires for my next project. Looking for a set of big and littles with a 5 spoke American type wheel. So anyway, I go to ebay like I do quite often. A search of wheels and tires gave me a bunch of listings. Being as I did not want to wait for an auction I pulled up just the Buy It Now listings. Man was I surprised. There are guys asking 19.99 and 24.99 and there was even one listing for a set for over 50.00. Keep in mind these are for a 1/25 scale build. I can buy a kit in many cases for less they want for 4 wheels and tires. I have to wonder if there is anyone who actually pays these prices. The sellers are free to charge what they want but they won't get any of my dollars. Anybody here ever pay these high prices for something ?
  22. I have gotten a milky surface before but not anything I would call frosting. The milky problem was due to building up the clear too heavy and too fast. Someone will be along to help you with your problem.
  23. What he said.
