  1. Thanks Michael.
  2. Thanks Jim and Bill. I sure like the look of this paint but it sure is not durable. I wonder why when you clear it ( I did to a different body ) it looses all it's chrome luster.
  3. Thanks guys. I think I may need to get another body and do it in the Gulf colors.
  4. Pretty cool. Was the real one really slanted like that ?

  6. Thank you fellows.
  7. Great looking model Jim.
  8. Good luck with that .
  9. Thanks so much everyone. Yes it is the same chassis as in mock up. No it has not been cleared. I did a test where I did clear a Cobra body that I painted with this paint and it just eliminated the chrome look. Made it a kind of silver/gray but shiny. This body does look pretty much spot on to my eye.
  10. I think that some folks just ask for the moon and hope that someone bites.
  11. Finished this one this morning. Body is a Kyosho 1/24 slot car body. I used parts from the Revell 1/24 Cobra kit. Model is a curbside so no engine or interior. After prep body was sprayed with Duplicolor Universal Chrome. Looks pretty good when first sprayed but is fragile when dry. Clear coating will just turn it a silver/gray. I know because I tried on another body. Added some numbers which may have been a mistake on my part. Anyway, it's done such as it is and looks pretty good in a display cabinet. All comments welcome.
  12. Thanks for the kind words guys. Car just about done. I did decide to put numbers on it. The paint was an experiment with Duplicolor chrome. It went on nice but I can't recommend it at least for a body. The paint is very fragile and does not seem to hold up well even tho I used gloves. I used the 427 Cobra body to make a slot car body so no extra hood. I also painted that body with this chrome paint but I cleared it. It looks more of a silver gray and the chrome look was gone.
  13. Looks good. One of my favorite Monogram kits.
  14. Getting older everyday but still on top of the dirt ! : )
  15. Ya, they have a great beef sandwich ! How you doing Jim ?
  16. Looks good to me. Great job !
  17. Hopefully he will be back. He is a wealth of information and is always ready to help . I have PM'd him many times and he has always sent back a message of help. One of the good guys.
  18. Great looking model.
  19. Great project. Looking forward to your progress.
  20. Made some progress on this one. Body is painted and still trying to decide if I want to put gumball decals on it. Did a mock up to see how things are going. I did have to pull the rear axle forward a bit.
  21. One of my sisters has been in the hospital for about a week and was going downhill while the doctors tried to figure out what her problems was. Well today she finally started to show much improvement . Nice work doctors ! Hopefully by the end of the week she will be home.
