That body is kind of rough. I know you can work it out. Good luck !

This was dropped off a little while ago. When my friend got the 66 resin Biscayne I built for him of the car he has he was so happy with it he asked if there was anyway I could try and do a replica of his very first car. Using this kit I will give it a try. It was a 1964 Impala SS convertible. Car was in very nice shape and he got it for 250.00. Thats right, 250.00. Remember that was over 40 years ago. Neither him or I can remember everything about this car and he does not have a single photo of it. I will have to go on a combination of our memories. What we do remember is that it was a dark blue with a light blue interior. Bucket seats with a auto on the floor. Can't recall what type of wheels it has so I will have to wing that part. This kit should give me just about all I need except a convertible boot for when I remove the top.

To be honest I forgot all about this thing. Put it away to work on a replica of my buddys 66 Biscayne and pushed this to the wayside. Discovered it when I was looking for my next project. Seldom start another when I have one on the bench. Anyway, have some parts primed or painted. Cut a hole for the engine to protrude. Since it will be a jet boat I will have to fashion some sort of jet drive. Don't know much about boats so I'm sure it will not be too realistic. Let's just call it a prototype whatever it turns out to be. : )

Good idea Carl but my daughters 4 years of college and 3 years of law school set me back a bit.

Cash is king........... sometimes. I use a debit card most always but around here some gun shops charge a fee using a debit card just as they would a credit card. I think it's 3 %. Better to have that 3 % in my pocket than theirs.

Modeling disaster stories?
cobraman replied to JPS_Lotus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Not too long ago I had a nice yellow paint job on a body and sprayed a first coat of clear. Later I went out to spray another coat of clear and somehow ( stupidity ) I picked up the can to spray only to see I picked up flat black. Idiot ! -

If we're talking unbuilt kits about 53. If we're talking total Cobra's in all forms, somewhere north of 625. When will I build them ? Probably never truthfully.

Happy, happy, happy ! I have been trying to score this version of these Cobra kits for about two years. I needed it to complete my collection of these. I have only seen it listed on ebay 3 times in those 2 years. Once I was outbid and the second time the starting bid was higher than I was willing to pay. I spotted this one a little over a week ago with a BIN price of 50 bucks so I jumped on it.
