  1. It took a couple of goes to attach the nose to the body. Milliput was a disaster. I thought I had some Green Stuff, but can't find it. In the end, I put an old tip on the soldering iron, and used sprue as "hot glue". It has had a layer of Tamiya putty since then. The engine has taken quite a few sittings. Glue a piece on. Wait for it to set. Repeat. It is made of old rims and assorted junkbox parts.
  2. I also thought it looked very Japanese, but that stance could belong to one thing only - a Citroen 2CV.
  3. Starting point:
  4. I have already glued two pieces of plastic together. It's a start! I have a huge junkbox load I bought off ebay that are pretty worthless for regular car building as wheels/engines etc. are all trashed or missing. This project won't need either!
  5. I have been intrigued by other models I have seen made along these lines. I even thought they could make for a cool build. The big question is would this pull me from my 2 year long slump?
  6. Having settled on using a V8, the mad mechanic had no choice but to warp space to put them in line. (That, or use a lot of mirrors.)
  7. I've never seen one before, but looking at it, it was fairly obvious as to what it had to be.
  8. "1970s exotic car" - first page!
  9. The Pontiac Tempest engine was like this. It's even available in kit form in as "Mickey Thompson's Pontiac Attempt 1"
  10. You found the actual car?
  11. Ignore the fender vent.
  12. I failed to find this one, despite a lot of looking. You got me
  13. I immediately recognized it as a Riley or (I forgot the name of other manufacturer) so it wasn't too hard to find. My friends and I had traveled in this model Wolseley to go and check out the Riley version. Somewhere I have a photo of it in my front yard.
  14. I've actually had a ride in one of these.
  15. Of course, the biggest clue was parked right beside it!
  16. 24 inline. That would be a looooooong time in the making.
  17. Believe it or not "One-off sports car" was all it took to find on Google. It was the second car pictured!
  18. I'm pretty sure I found every sleek red sports car on the planet - except this one.
  19. True. All the "Adult" interior space is vertical in these.
  20. I 've had to push one of these suckers a few times.
  21. Alpine has the wrong hub-caps
  22. Maybe based on a porch though - it's large and flat!
  23. And indeed, they didn't endorse it! My first searches specifically excluded Porsche, so, needless to say, I wasn't having much luck.
  24. Color me boggled! I found it!
