  1. Had I seen it from the front, it would have been easy, but not from that angle. I found similar cars all over the place, but the correct one evaded me.
  2. And how many master brake cylinders?
  3. NO HINTS to be revealed in the thread, be they right or wrong!!!!
  4. I couldn't even buy a kit for $30 in Australia.
  5. I looked in every right hand drive country except England. After all, who would put a Rolls grill on something that looked like it was out of Russia or China?
  6. Usually they are available. At least the last 3 have been. And, no, that's not how I find the cars.
  7. I recognized the cylinder head cover... What a way to find a car!
  8. It only took me moments to realized it was Ford F1000 from Brazil. What took forever was finding which variant it was. This one doesn't come up in a lot of search word variations.
  9. Some of their designs look like they took their cues from van culture.
  10. Well, it does look better than Hummer's crappy attempt at a consumer car.
  11. We did a group out-of-the-box Gremlin build a couple years back.
  12. Fine, but which variant is it? That's the part that gave me real trouble.
  13. Even knowing what it was, I was unable to find it with searches (without directly referencing it by name). Yet, last week's I found with the very simple search phrase "split rear bumper"!
  14. looking good.
  15. I had the right idea, but couldn't find it, so I cheated to put my mind at rest. Long enough is long enough!
  16. I followed every Renault/Renault Export or clone/copy/inspired by mustang phrase I could think of, all with zero success. Even searched through museums. Finally, I thought - "I'm forgetting my magic word. If you can't find a car, its from Brazil." Searched for "Brazil Mustang", which brought it up right away. Of course, I didn't actually RECOGNIZE it from the different angle. It wasn't until I spotted the fuel filler that the penny dropped.
  17. You are doing better than me. I've searched this from multiple angles and still can't find the thing. It will be interesting to see how close I got with my assumptions.
  18. My thought was "when did the Japanese ever make a Mustang?" I have absolutely no idea.
  19. I thought back to an ugly car I was not able to find a few years back, remembering it was from Israel, so I searched from there. The funny thing was that the other car was a different model from the same company.
  20. And I am using front seats as my intake vents....
  21. It took a couple of goes to attach the nose to the body. Milliput was a disaster. I thought I had some Green Stuff, but can't find it. In the end, I put an old tip on the soldering iron, and used sprue as "hot glue". It has had a layer of Tamiya putty since then. The engine has taken quite a few sittings. Glue a piece on. Wait for it to set. Repeat. It is made of old rims and assorted junkbox parts.
  22. I also thought it looked very Japanese, but that stance could belong to one thing only - a Citroen 2CV.
  23. Starting point:
  24. I have already glued two pieces of plastic together. It's a start! I have a huge junkbox load I bought off ebay that are pretty worthless for regular car building as wheels/engines etc. are all trashed or missing. This project won't need either!
  25. I have been intrigued by other models I have seen made along these lines. I even thought they could make for a cool build. The big question is would this pull me from my 2 year long slump?
