That Maverick looks real nice. Having bought the '69 Olds 442 convertible from Missing Link, I can vouch for the quality of their work.

I have had the same problem with yellowing clear coat, and won't use it anymore on white. I now airbrush a coat of Future over white, and it has worked phenomenally. Best of all, Future is cheap. Who doesn't like cheap?

Given the popularity of American full-size trucks, whatever the make, I'm rather surprised that there are not more offerings. Would I buy them? Maybe, but then I'm not really as interested in scale trucks as some of the Forum members are. Odd, considering that my 1:1 ride is a pick-em-up.

I'll go along with that. I would hate to see the "Forum" go away based on the conduct of a tiny minority.

OK, you've got my attention. I keep hoping to stumble across one of those Toronado kits at a reasonable price.

Just from my own experience. #1: Alclad is as tough, if not tougher, than kit chrome. Follow their instructions to the letter, and the results speak for themselves. #2: I rarely bother to open panels. But I used the sharp side of a new blade when I have. It worked for me. Sorry I can't help you more here. #3: I use BMF as a masking agent when I need a sharp line. Or a fine, narrow line. I use a straight edge to get the width I need. I am no prize-winning modeler, so caveat emptor if advice comes from me.

Missing Link's products are, based on what I've seen and purchased, very well done. I would have bought their '72 Cutlass Supreme bodyshell (I saw it at NNL East, and it was spot-on) also, had I not already converted a Revell Hurst/Olds using a '70 Monte Carlo roof.

You really got this right! I'm wondering if you do your research largely online, since the builds that you post pictures of are generally of subjects that I'm sure are hard to see in person in Poland.

The decals silvered a little bit anyway. I've never had that happen before, so I'm still a little bit mystified. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with the finished product, and grateful to my colleagues for giving it some eyeball time and commenting.

Sadly, "Miss Hurst Golden Shifter" Linda Vaughn declined my invitation to the photo shoot, citing scheduling difficulties. Or that she thought I was stalking her. Something like that.

Since co-workers have regularly seen me working on a project during lunch, the question has come up. I politely refuse, and that has worked. One lady I worked with actually bought a diecast like her husbands car, and she even painted it the same color, so I did make license plates and other stuff for her "build". Hey, she at least put an effort in, and found the end result rewarding. Her husband was thrilled to have a model of his car.

I'm astonished. A Ferrari that ugly was actually kitted TWICE? I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. The photo with the woman in the faux racing outfit wearing those weirdo silver space boots is NOT helping.
