  1. If a problem arises I write a note on the instructions, with a large pencil star next to it, like now. I'm building a Belkits Metro 6R4 rally car. Looking at the underside of the body a radiator scoop is to be fitted inside the bonnet/hood to bring cool air into the body towards the radiator. The instructions show for part D9,

Which is the darkened part on the left, to fix inside the bonnet shown, but there are no marks to line it up with? I've tried it two ways round and still can't fix it  with the part D9 scoop showing through the slot in the bonnet!

Sorry perhaps this is not the place!

  2. Half way there! This is the kit of the Metro 6R4 rallycar of 1986.

The original engine was a Rover V8, but as there wasn't room for the big V8 so the rear two cylinders were cut off! Four wheel drive was fitted for maximum grip and as allowed with any World Rally Car to be as fast as possible. Also it was my first go at making seatbelts with the photo-etch and fabric, very stressful, I think I'll stick to decals.

I saw this behemoth when out and about yesterday. It had its own zip code.

This shows the USA and UK Road differences. I can't see that on our roads as it would get around our roundabouts and only be used on what we call Motorways or you call Freeways! Or our classed roads 'A' and 'B'. A roads through towns and B roads through villages, far too wide and long!

  4. Thanks  guys! I've actually made two seat belts that go over the back to a fixing and lay on the front of the seat. They only took about an hour! Now, tomorrow perhaps two more!

OH what do you use to cut the photo-etch from their sprue please?

  5. I'm building a rally car and  tape and photo etch buckles have come with the kit, but the tape (seat belt material) is difficult to get through the photo-etch buckles. I've tried to cut a pointed end on the tape but it's still to wide to get through the buckle! I've had this problem many times before, even to print my own seat belt decals.

    What am I doing wrong?
