  1. Although I have quite a few more flowers in pots to do, I started putting together the greenhouse floor layout..
  2. Test fitting, wheels on and trying the two roof units..
  3. Thanks Bainford, no issues as yet, seems to be quite simple and straightforward.
  4. Whilst various glued parts of the greenhouse are drying, I've started the Italeri BJ44 Land Cruiser. As two tops come with the kit, I'm painting and test fitting both.. And painting the other what would be a fixed hardtop.. And started the chassis...
  5. Was it designed by a five year old? Sorry nothing against five year olds!
  6. Yes superb build. I saw a few pf these as a rally marshall, as well as we still have a few 'civilian' ones on the road here in the UK.
  7. We've always had manual gear shifts, far easier to control than auto's I've tried in the past have been uncontrollable in cold/frosty/slippery conditions and we've only been driving for 40+ years when (as now) automatics were so much more expensive and if you passed your test in an auto, you weren't allowed to drive a manual gearbox version. Although we won't as pensioners be able to afford to buy an EV, being all auto we wouldn't drive one anyway. We also couldn't afford an EV battery replacement.
  8. Our youngest son has a BMW Wagon like that and in that colour here in the UK we have lots of them. I'm gratefull they don't do Cybertrucks in right hand drive as we wouldn't have room for them on our roads, plus we don't have the infrastructure to charge EV's anyway. Plus again they are far too expensive to buy any EV, and the shocker is the price of a battery replacement. In a national paper with a motoring section Q&A, a guy has bought an 11 year old Toyota Hybrid he says is very sluggish, and asks what he should do after being told that a new battery pack for that model is £6000 after buying it fro £2500, the expert said 'Find a car dumping yard to take it away', but will cost £150 to do that!
  9. COR! I wish we had swap meets like this in the UK!
  10. As I Beach Buggy fan and VW Beetle owner X3 this is just brilliant!
  11. Thanks Carl. I should have found and fitted some outriggers to stop it toppling over on corners and an engine hop-up as it only has a 600cc twin cylinder engine, perhaps a V8 or something similar!
  12. I have a 5-10 year old small digital camera, and I take 99.9% of photo's without the flash.
  13. Hi who do you use for photo-hosting please? I presently use Fotki, bur have been having various problems where I've opened an album under the kit name but each time I want to add to that album as I build it, it opens another album, rather than add the photo's to the original! I have sent two inquiries to Fotki, but they haven't answered! I originally used Photo Bucket but they increased the annual cost and deleted all of my previous photo's!

  14. Thanks Carl.I understand that it has a slightly bent windscreen frame on one side, hence a price reduction. Nothing that can't be sorted with some warm water!
  15. From ebay UK, already opened with a tweak on a windscreen upright..
  16. I'm waiting for Fotki to answer my complaint. With this on there each time I want to post another photo it opens an extra Album under this kit heading! Why is that? Instead of having one file/folder under Rolife Green house it opens another and another!
  17. As a LEGO builder in my 70's, WOW! Superb!
  18. More today,
  19. A few more bits!
  20. Having built a greenhouse for my wife just ten years ago, she wants me to build another but a shade smaller! But this one won't be growing real tomatoes/cucumbers/chillies/flowers or peppers, just scale model versions! I completed the Greenhouse door today. A few problems during the build were: finding that the 'glass' was too small lengthways and opaque, plus the clear glue supplied has hardened slighly so difficult to get out of the squeezy bottle. So taking the top off and using cocktail stick to lift it out. I collect clear plastic retail packaging, so easy to measure and cut.
