Thanks guys, not bad a few days after his 77th!

I have used ex-McLaren wheels, tyres and wheel arches to lower this normally off-roader! The off-road chassis of the Montero I'm building for another project.

What Did You Accomplish Today? (Model Car Work)
PatW replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I found on the shelves.. But needed the chassis etc for something else, so found in the spares some wheels and arches from a McLaren Sportscar kit. so dropped my new chassis to this.. I have a few more things to do, so will finish this week. I'm annoyed that the bonnet was clear plastic and I only have a metallic blue spray at present! 77 tomorrow so out all day! -

Superb detailing! -
Thanks John. Again another car that never appeared anywhere here in the UK.

Thanks ea0863. Yes it very nearly went in the bin, but as a pensioner I can't really afford to do that!

Very nice indeed but so expensive here in the UK.

Thanks Larry, an hour did it!

Thanks guys. The plastic body comes in that colour.

I was warned after buying it that it may be troublesome, and it was. A twisted body shell didn't help and I tried a few times in hot water to solve it but to no great avail. Hinged doors were also difficult, the drivers door in particular. Shaving it down, cut out most of the inner door panel, but I glued it in, in the end! So here it is as I'm fed up with it now! The tilt forward bonnet/hood didn't work either, the twisted body meant I had to do the same with the hood, bend it quite a bit to fit!
