  1. We have very few 'Muscle Cars' here in the UK, because they are too expensive to run. So as an ex-Scale Auto reader/subscriber I wouldn't buy it.
  2. LOTS! Budget allowing! Happy New Year to you all! Hopefully off the wall stuff!
  3. Thanks for the heads up Geoff.

  9. Today some work on a Heller Citroen Mehari.. So wheels/tyres on, dashboard, steering column, gearchange and pedals. Also front seats. On one of my recent purchases from Shapeways a 3D Honda based Custom Ruckus scooter.. From the Shapeways site. Today, brush painting undercoats, prior to a matt black engine, gloss black floor board and yellow gloss body/frame. All have to be in Acrylic paints. I also bought from Shapeways.. A 3D VW tuned air-cooled Beetle engine.. And a Westphalia VW Bus/Camper Roof Rack.. As these are all 3D printed painting them is.. let's say Interesting!
  10. Having taken the Scale Auto magazine for more years that I can remember. It's a great shame that MCM is not available here in the UK!
  11. I've ordered today some pieces from Shapeways the 3D site. They are all 1/24th scale. Custom Ruckus scooter by Kingtoy. VW Beetle Engine by Ron Rolson -3D Model Specialists Westphalia VW Bus/Camper roof rack by Rial Road Tom. I'm advised that they will be shipped around the 21st December.

  14. Wow another super job Matt. I've joined Heller Forever having recently built a few , one a classic racing car and a Van. Well done again! I think my eyesight now would let me down on the small stuff!
  15. Superb Matt, having built numerous 1/43 rd's over 30+ years of metal, plastic and resin, this looks special well done!
  16. Cheers Brizio.
  17. Thanks guys.
  18. Thanks Randy, But I've no where to run it here and can't buy spares or accessories either in the UK.
  19. Yes I bet! We only had 1/32 Scalextric or 1/64 Aurora here in the UK, nothing as big as 1/24th.
  20. THanks again Carl.
  21. Thanks Randy, must've been great on the slot car track!
  22. Thanks Jonathan. I used Humbrol Purple Spray Can.
  23. Thanks Craig, yes the decals are a task and a half.
  24. Thanks Jason. Yes they were especially when after building and painting the body, you look at the decal sheet and realise that the advertising decal at the front of the doors is one piece . So therefore being shocked that the rest of the decal starting with the number 29 is one piece right to and over the rear wheel arch! Plenty of soaking in warm water and using a large bristle model brush also soaking the side of the car to stop the decal snagging on a dry surface during the lay-up! Then breathing afterwards! I normally lay-up all decals on a body before fitting to the chassis. In this case realising that some of the decals overlap the glass, fit all windows first then fit the body to the chassis. But I normally clearcoat before assembly to make sure the decals don't dry and fall off! I've had a few older kits do that in the past. So lay up all decals, await to dry, find a large head craft brush and carefully paint on the clear coat from a small Humbrol tin! And it worked far better than I first imagined!
  25. Yes they said the cheque for $37 would take 8-10 weeks!
