  1. Thanks guys. Yes Misha go for it! If you have any problems just shout!
  2. Thanks carl, yes a nice kit although an old one!
  3. Built box stock in racing trim with covered headlights, and tyre decals for a laugh. Well it's Italian so Pirelli tyres, or their originals perhaps! added alloy tube exhaust.
  4. Superb city car, we have hundreds of these and the old originals in the UK. Very popular especially the Abarth versions and we have tuning companies here too, to spice them up from wheels/tyres and tuned suspension and engines.
  5. Really fantastic Chris, I've been looking for one of these for ages. Mind you I recently saw your figure trying to steal my vehicle and here he is...
  6. As I got it from ebay it was £9.99. I looked for it on various model shop sites and was out of stock, so I don't know the retail price.
  7. Really neat! I did a similar job last year, or was it the year before? The 1/24 Airfix Scooby..
  8. Thanks niteowl7710, but I don't want FSM. I've asked two or three times now today (now that I've found other email addresses) so hopefully they will refund my money. Then I can delete both Scale Auto and FSM from my favourites list.
  9. I would enjoy to see a magazine by MCM, but understand that they may not be available in the UK. As far as Scale Auto is concerned, my log on to anything Kalmbach is rejected, them saying that I need a new browser! I received the last SA magazine and on the fly sheet inside the plastic pack with the magazine, it stated the correct date of December 2021. When I get my first Finescale Magazine the fly sheet says my subscription runs out in May 2021! I've attempted to contact them using various email addresses ( Scale Auto Customer Services and the same addressed as in the FSM mag) and all have been bounced back! I'm not at all interested in magazines where articles are all on what I see as 'Killing Machines', and SA said that FSM would have auto/car related articles, none of which are in this issue! I can't possibly phone them from the UK due to the high cost, but certainly don't want my outstanding subscription wasted on something I don't want! Sorry for the rant.
  10. Another neat trike, well done!
  11. Brilliant! I've just started building these, finished the first one! Very impressed at the kit quality.
  12. Very Tasty!
  13. Neat! I've looked at one of these kits for a long time, but done nothing. Our local tree surgeon has real one.
  14. I'm glad I saved this little item after I got shot of photobucket. All plasticard except the wheels/tyres.
  15. Ah you see Jim what you can spy out in the sticks!
  16. Further to my previous post. Oven cleaner here in the UK seems to be in short supply, our local Tesco supermarket hasn't any and doesn't now when there will be any in. I went to my local small hardware store that sells my Plasti-Kote sprays and he said that Ammonia would do the job as oven cleaner has a high percentage of ammonia in it. I tried it yesterday but OUTSIDE! The fumes are shocking. Later in the day, not wanting to leave it outside for cats/wild animals or birds attempting to drink it. I tested it the fumes had gone so took it indoors, added very hot water and washing up liquid and after cooling down all the chrome coating had gone as has the slippery coating that oven cleaner leaves behind! Sorted! This morning I put back and fronts of chromed wire wheels from an Alfa Romeo kit in the plastic tub, lid off. The Alfa has gloss black wires in the 1:1 version!
  17. When this magazine is re-launched will it be available in the UK? As a subscriber to Scale Auto for some years I need a printed automotive/model car magazine to look through/read on a regular basis. I've had the first Zinio version of the Finescale magazine and there are no auto/car articles in it as promised so have asked for my subscription to be returned as mine was up to December 2021 and really don't want or need a Military magazine at all.
  18. Yes Bruce. I've started the engine, but through my research noticed that the heavily chromed wheels should be authentically in a black gloss finish. So they are going in the tub tomorrow or Monday to have some chrome stripper poured over them! 28/09 Update. My hardware shop owner had run out of the oven cleaner that I had previously used to strip chrome and said that he had bottles of neat Ammonia, and that the oven cleaner had a high percentage of Ammonia in it. So he said 'try it out' which I have, yes it smells really strong so I put the chrome parts in a used ice cream tub and put it outside with a thin coating of Ammonia. It stripped it in less than a day, so I poured hot soapy water over it all and a cold water rinse and hey presto no chrome and no awful smell! I have started to paint the wires with a coat of acrylic matt black today!
  19. Thanks guys, yes I've just started an Alfa Romeo 1750 Zagato by funnily enough Heller!
  20. Yes Dan, Super kits, my latest two Heller kits!
  21. Thanks guys, yes very nice kits.
