  1. Superb! Just superb!
  2. Bought this today via ebay UK, and there's two bodies in the box, what a bonus. I can now build two!
  3. Cheers Larry.
  4. Thanks Bo.
  5. Cheers Atin.
  6. Set up as a National Rally contender taking into consideration it's age, but still using the factory decals. The front end paintwork had to be replaced 3 times due to constant heavy orange-peel and therefore cleaning off and re-applying. In the final application, automotive primer was used to solve the problem. The rest of the body was unaffected and of high gloss finish throughout! The kit being quite old but the Airfix decal sheet and the lay-up onto the body were first class in their finish!
  7. Thanks Yordan. Oh the engine is a YAMAHA, but there's no edit on the initial post.
  8. Thanks Bruce, yes I've had the mechanics/leisure figures set for about 5 years and only just got round to using them. And yes it took a time carefully painting them!
  9. Thanks Phil. I was a race/airfield marshall at the Silverstone Circuit about 5 miles from here for nearly 25 years, so saw F1 cars pretty often, and a host of most other classes and MotoGP or 500 GP as it was with Barry Sheene etc! We've visited our eldest son a number of times in Canada both Manitoba and Alberta. But he came here with his wife at Christmas which was good.
  10. Thanks guys, yes Dann it's 1/24th.
  11. Thanks Ismael.
  12. Thanks David, yes I've had a combined mechanics and civilian figures set and had no interest in using it, but now it seems to work.
  13. Thanks Gramps46.
  14. Thanks Larry.
  15. Yes engine, gearbox, suspension, driveshafts, brakes... I've since 'blued' the exhaust to show heat in the pipes.
  16. Built box stock adding seatbelts, helmet visor, and Fujimi mechanics. This is a test version without the factory red bodywork or driver race numbers.
  17. Built box stock with the addition of seatbelts, helmet visor, various tools and Fujimi mechanics. It is in testing form prior to the body, sidepods, and nosecone being in the factory red colour and the race numbers signifying which team driver. This is also below in the diorama section of the forum.
  18. Should be right hand drive though! No whatever you want. Brilliant to see a good old British sports car, well done, and look forward to the build.
  19. Got this in the post from the YSA only 4 weeks delivery......... Helps with extra insight into weathering etc.
  20. Cheers Larry.
