Wow Jim this is just crazy. As an ex-race marshall at the Silverstone Circuit here in the UK, I remember the stir it caused when it was revealed! Six wheels, never, the other teams said! But it was masterfull when raced. The March team factory nearby built a six-wheeler but with four wheels at the back and therefore four wheel drive! It was a complete failure, with so much rear grip they couldn't get it to go round corners!

Well 89AKurt, this build as an ex 1:1 Beetle owner is superb, I love the wheels especially!

I don't often build military kits, but this one took my fancy, with it's fully flexible central connector and 6 wheel drive. I hope I haven't gone too crazy with the camo! -

I've ordered this today to improve my weathering/rusting techniques. I'm always interested to learn a bit more about our hobby....

Looks a super kit! I think some Aardvark models are on the Star Models website. Sorry I've just gone onto the Star Models site and they don't offer any Aardvark Kits any longer! I tried a Google search for Aardvark resin kits, which gave me Aardvark kits on Resin Realm, but not this one! I also see that Resin Realm closed sometime in 2017, as the owner retired through ill health. The kit was requested by Fred Cady and first produced by Aardvark in 1989. Worthpoint call it very rare.

Yes I bought one of these kits about 20 years ago. As it has a small rear window we're talking the early 60's, my road going 1965 had the larger rear window.

OSSA Dirt Bike Story.....Miracle???
PatW replied to DPNM's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
We had a Bultaco of the same vintage (1970's) in the early 1980's, I bought it for my eldest son who joined the local trails club. Great bike for it's day, similar to the Ossa. -
Superb! As I have a racing team based nearby with these I would turn it into a racing car quick, fast!

Superb Simon, just the right colour for such an aggressive car!

As an ex-race/rally marshal for over 25 years I remember these on the tracks in the day! You've made a super job of this, well done Michael.

Coming along very nicely Ismail. A great idea using these as base models and running with them, great start, thanks for sharing. -
Great Start! We don't see many of this kit here in the UK. Looking forward to the rest of the build. I like your tray with all the bits in.
-
Well done Dominick. Very imaginative, so we need to see the other one lined up against this one, great idea.

Thanks John. The kit goes very well together until you get to putting the wheels into the tyres. The tyres are not rubbery but stiff, the wheels have vanes on them so difficult to put one into the other. I found that shaving one set of vanes off to fit into the tyre then placing in a plastic container (an empty ice cream tub) and pouring boiling water over makes the tyre expand enough to allow the wheel to drop into place . Otherwise super kit that I finished off with a Molotow Chrome Pen for the shiny bits! -
Superb Simon! I'm also into matt black. I've always followed both DTM and WRC, so one of my last Subaru's was in Matt Black instead of the blue factory colour..It sets off the factory decals better I think........ So lets see a few more builds Simon.

Whoa! A really great start to the new year Eric. Just Superb! From one that has built 7 of these kits!
