  1. Cheers Tim.
  2. Thanks guys.
  3. Thanks Atin. The paint is a bit darker in reality, but as a Tamiya kit it's the usual high spec, well made super fit kit!
  4. I bought this as an already started. The red paintwork was brilliant, but the original builder had glued the hubs, brakes and wheels together. Although the original car was two tone Red & White I didn't want to add the white and mess it up. As a decal printer I always leave a margin when printing, so when I needed a background for a red decal I measured and cut a piece from a white decal sheet.
  5. Superb build Bruce. I saw the 1:1 car on the stages here in the UK when I started my marshalling career in the day! We (my sons and I) met Roger Clark at Silverstone a few months later, he was my younger son's idol!
  6. Cheers Curtis.
  7. Thanks guys. Been away in Portugal for a couple of weeks in the sun! Look it up on Google Dann, it's a Japanese craze to lower and widen various makes of sports cars.
  8. Superb Bruce very well done. I sometimes do the same, have a difficult time with a build put it back on the shelf and then enjoy resurrecting and finish it!
  9. On returning from a break in Portugal, on our dining room table was this for my Fathers Day pressie........... From our two sons.
  10. Cheers Chris.
  11. Having adjustable axle movement the rear view above should have shown a negative camber on all four wheels, so here is the adjusted position.... Suitably tucked under the extended wheelarches.
  12. Thanks Bruce, yes very nice kit.
  13. As standard, green matt finish Tamiya spray paints, wings/fenders cut out and new wides fitted... It already has wide wheels, lowered suspension and stretch tyres. With decals. The kit has one sheet of decals but with both a choice of black or white plus white or silver front and rear windscreen decals. The tyre decals which I laid up last were interesting that they lie with the inner side on the wheel rim and the rest on the tyre! Oh if you are thinking of building one, fit the chrome exhaust tips after you fit the body!
  14. Thanks guys, and thanks David for the info. We had until recently two USAF airfields about ten miles from us. All we saw on the roads were blue Chevy vans taking folks to the railway station and the odd Hummer, but they nearly took up the width of our narrow roads!
  15. Thanks Travis, yes parts are a bit testing to say the least!
  16. A waste of time posting!!
  17. Cheers Chris.
  18. The kit depicts the Paris-Dakar winner of 1989. I bought the kit when it was first available in 1990. Mini dio............
  19. Nice Starion , a friend used to rally one, when they first came out!
  20. The dullcoat spray I use says 'do not use decals'.
  21. Superb! and in my favourite Tamiya colour.
  22. Nice one Eric! I too fit the Fujimi roof rax.
  23. A bright yellow 70's Dodge Challenger, blasting out of our local BP filling station.
  24. Bought this when it first came out in 1986. Built it initially as a rallycross car, now they are re-appearing at classic rallycross meetings. Resurrected the decals, large ones OK some smaller ones not so. It has full engine/transmission details.
