Thanks guys. In the hamper? Well I think it would be sandwiches, salad, roast chicken legs and a cola of some sort, Pepsi or Coke or even my childhood favourite , a real British fizzy drink Dandelion and Burdock, and Ice Cream in the round tub!
I used to buy a few bits from Andy, when he had a website, I think I bought an Escort Mk1 with the bubble arches from him (see below) . But I don't know how to contact him now. It's good to see an anglebox again! A friend has just sold a rally/rallycross version that he used to race in the day!
Here's the MK1 built with parts from the ESCI MK2.
Thanks guys. The extra's came from this kit.........................
The surfboards are Evergreen plastic sheet with home printed decals.
The roof rack is Evergreen square and round rod and flat strip.
Thanks Claude. Yes we had three of these when our sons were small, so nearly everything was loaded on the roof! We were on our way home after a week or so in North Wales, needing to shop so we had food for our home later that day. I/we forgot that we had everything on the roof and tried to get into a multi-storey car park. Going through the barrier to go up one floor the rack hit the concrete roof and a big bang sounded! We got out to find the legs of the rack over the side and a big dent in the roof!
The next year we had a trailer!
I have just watched the Nat Geo channel on Sky where they talk about draining the Bermuda Triangle. They centre on Flight 19 on the 5th December 1945 out of Fort Lauderdale and that the flight of 5 planes disappeared soon afterwards. Plus the flying boat sent to find them!
I've found various pictures on the net of the flight/planes and their markings. The problem I have is, as the pictures are in black and white, what is the aircraft colourway, black, dark blue? I'm told Sea Blue Gloss although it looks to me to be either semi gloss or matte finish.
The kit I have found and bought from ebay is.....
Research........................................
That was a couple of weeks ago.............
Now.................
Yes really odd. We have a Range Rover/Jaguar test area near us, plus there are at least two ladies in the town that have them! Not good looking plus all the extra metalwork to stiffen up the chassis, must be extra heavy and extra inefficient on fuel!
Superb! I built a Beetle with F1 parts and built a couple of plastic seats similar to those you have. I have PE Brass Kirkey seats but don't like to use them!
I won this today on ebay UK. The first dragster I can remember ever buying. I got a good deal for a new kit at £10 I think....
AMT Digger Cuda.
I've just had an ebay email saying the seller has already put it in the post, so I should see it by this Friday 27th September.
