1990 Chevy C1500
Scuderia replied to crazyjim's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Nice interior detail, very well thought out. Motor looks tough too, whole thing looks ready to go actually lol. I like the way it sits. Not too flashy, and not too utilitarian either. -
Yeah neither did i, but this one does (kinda lol) Apparently the subsequent re releases were all of the same tool from what i can gather google searching as well.
-
Thats a pretty neat lil car, and definitely has some creative opportunity lol. And thanks for the background info Chuck and Christian.
-
Thanks guys, yeah with as ubiquitous as it was I bet many met a demise on the local tracks and drag strips lol.

And if you have to do any bodywork, wear a mask. You don't want to inhale resin dust

They are indeed red handles and red hairs, thanks i'll take a stroll to the stores on saturday and see if that style is still around.
-
Thanks for the kind words and the input, I didn't realize they did the 85 car before branding this one as an 82 lol. That crazy Monogram...
-
I don't recall when exactly I bought this brush, but I like it. Does anyone know what brand this MIGHT be? I think it may be an Atlas brand "Red Sable" but pix on the net aren't big enough for me to tell for sure..

what did you try so far? you can upload right to the site.

I wouldn't have thought to do that with that kit, good vision! Looks like it's coming along real nice. I see the Roscoe cop kits at HL all the time. I'll keep an eye on this maybe I can grab an idea or two for something jazzy with it.
-
Thanks! you gettin somethin finished soon? i wanna check out that ferrari you have on deck lol
-
Thanks for the kind words. I was minus details so I went with a slight two part body colour. I was considering a thin red line above the silver, but wasn't sure how to execute it right. When i was a kid i loved seeing these style Camaro's
-
This kit is an OLD Monogram snap kit. Very basic parts count, non-existant interior detail. Some of the snap aspects of its parts fitting is nice though. May not be the last snapper I build up. Glad it's being re-released as the '85 version in the 'fall'. Wheels are the option from the '70 BOSS Mustang kit.

Scuderia replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That's my happy medium also. -
I'm a Spartan fan myself lol but thanks we are pretty kind up here usually.
-
Ouch. how's a roof cave in? lol but anyhow I like how this one looks. Would be real cool in like a traffic-stop diorama
-
Oh yeah you're right I JUST read their description last night and i forgot already lol... Are you gonna build that?
-
Great lookin' build. I see 'haus still has it listed. If i get enough parts to put this together i might invest in one some day.
-
Lol right on good stuff tho i have two nascar kits that just need decals to put on but i kinda forgot about em lol. But anyhow back on track...
