  1. Interesting. I'd never seen one of those before. Ed
  2. The Bird part of the story isn't going "wash" as the Event was caught on Video! Just wander down to the lower part of this Story that includes still water impact images. http://features.csmonitor.com/innovation/2...facebook/#right Ed
  3. I do like variety The Dragsters biggest challenge isn't the Engine Detail so much, it getting all those little Decals in the right place Ed
  4. Hi Gary I ordered'em. I just took a look on the "Bay" and they're not hard to come by there. Ed
  5. The Ferrari 512S is one of the Mid 60's - Early 70's Prototype Kits one would be hard pressed to have too many of. The others in my (demented) mind would be the Ferrari 330 P4, Porsche 917K (mainly in the Heller Humbrol Car 23 and Fujimi Car #3 configuration - change Liveries and you can make many famous Cars or dozens of less famous Cars!). And finally the Lola T-70 which given a Razor Saw, bit of Putty and artwork would run one broke building it's many variations! Ya Gotta Love this Hobby when you think about it, 'Cause there's something for Everyone! Ed
  6. Was is it the 1275S that caught your eye or was it the 4 Rally Lights ??????? Ed
  7. I got an interesting assortment of Kits today delivered by the Big Brown Toy Truck. Ed
  8. Nice Clean Build of a Classic Endurance Racer. Ed
  9. I Like IT. Those '64 Imp's always look good in Red and you did a Good job inside under the hood and out. But don't you think a Dual Quad 409 woulda filled the Underhood space better Crazy Ed
  10. James, That is GREAT! FWIW, I think I would have left the 'Chute off. It looks too darn good to be there. Ed
  11. Joe and Steve Thank You Both. I was hopin' for 1/24-5 Kit, sigh...... It's interesting that they chose P.J's. Car for a Lola T-70 as it was a Car he rarely drove....... Ed
  12. Thanks Steve, Fun Stuff there. I was wondering, on Page 5 third image in DSCN 0128, in the lower center there is a Monogram Lola T70 that appears to be for Parnelli Jones. Is it? And is it a Slot Car or a Static Kit? What Scale? Ed
  13. Nice clean restoration. Ed
  14. Chris, you're Welcome. BTW the some of the Magazines of the era made the same mistake. Ed
  15. The TV coverage didn't show the 2K on track at all. There was the 2A, E and Gil's repainted and numbered Acura. I thought Gil drove the Chaparral 2"A". Ed
  16. Nice collection of Pic's - Thanks. Told my Wife if I'd have been there I would have missed most of the Race due to Taking Pic's of the Chaparrals' . I notice the 2K was there also. Did Jim haul any other of the Chaparrals other than the 2A, E and K? Ed
  17. Hummmmmmm. Given all the parts that just might make it onto my gotta get list! Thanks Ed
  18. I've wondered what you do for the interior for that kit. I'm guessing you chop up the Chevelle's. Ed
  19. Chris, Wonderful job on both this and the Pick Up. I'd hate to see these loosing it on a hot turn though....... Ed
  20. Hello Again Chris. I have that Book along with several others. If you have it look at Pg's 120,1. On the Top of the Page is the first 8 positions for the L.A. Times GP at Riverside CA in 1965. Outside row 1 is the 2C driven by Jim Hall and on the inside of row 4 is the 2"A" driven by Hap Sharp that was modified with a "Flipper" wing. The 2"A"'s went on to become 2D's and F's. There was only 1 Chaparral 2C built and when it was modified it was turned into a 2E in 66 and 2G in '67,8. Today some of the surviving parts are found in the restored 2E at Midland Texas. Ed
  21. Chris Nice Clean build. I must admit that Chaparral carries Red well. Oh fwiw that's a 2 "A" not C. The C didn't have openings on the rear "Fenders" and was the first with the moveable rear wing. Ed
  22. That's the first time I saw it in Color! I remember it from Saturday Morning Cartoon TV in the '50's. Ed
  23. The only decal/detail set I'm aware of was produced by a company called Ricambi. There was an article about the kit and detailing it in Issue 34 of Motor Racing Models (Aug/Sept '97) along with an Ad for the Ricambi Upgrade set. As to the Minilites the Revell '67 Corvette Sport Coupe 2 in 1 kit has a nice set and they're not Chrome Plated so there's no need to strip before painting them! Ed
  24. Hi There Brian FWIW none of the reference material I have shows the Midengine Scarab with the #14 on it. I have it with the #16 for the Original Reventlow Car, 91 and 16 used for A.J. Foyt, 90 for Walt Hansgen and 7 for Augle Pabst. For the Wheels, if you have an AMT '53 Studebaker Starliner Coupe handy there's a nice set in there. Other wise there are several Resin Casters out there that are making them. Ed
  25. Yep, John Mecom seemed to put together a "Fairly" good collection of Drivers himself! Any mention of which Ferrari Carroll and Jim stuffed a Small Block Chevy V-8 into? The Other Ed
