  1. Great job there. A REAL Pickup!! Ed
  2. Hi Krishna Fun and well built. I like it. As Lee said a bit harsh on the seam lines but otherwise well done. Lee - There are two Full detail kits of that body style I know of. One is from Gunze of the Fiat Abarth Assetto Crosa (which was one of the smaller displacement cars to run in the original TransAm Series) and the other one is from Tamiya of the Abarth 695 SS. Ed
  3. Excellent job Cruz. That Paint is like Glass. Must be the Demo Car for Rain-X Ed
  4. Hi There Gary One difference a lot of folks miss is the backup lights are in the Tailgate for the 69-72 Elkies. Ed
  5. Here's one thats on my Car/Truck
  6. Jim, if you have a Tobacco Shop in your area ask'em about Pipe Screens. They come in 1/2 - 3/4" circles made of Brass or Stainless Steel and generally cost less than $5 for 100 of'em. Ed
  7. Hi There Phil Depending at what $ point you consider price to be an issue there are several choices given you'd accept Coupe's. Let's say $50 with shipping is your hard break point, then You'd have a good chance to pickup one of the several Fuji 917K's out there without much trouble. Now the Spyders are a different story other than the 1/32 AMT/Matchbox kits mentioned before (which by the way are full detail and you can get Decals for not only the Penske - Follmer/Donohue car but also the Hurley Haywood driven Brumos car also. Other than the Otaki Monty mentioned the 917-10 and -30 Kits ARE Pricey falling into the Whatever the Market will bear group. Here's a picture of some of the 917 Kits that are out there. Good Luck on your "quest". Ed
  8. They were also released in Yellow and Blue Packaging Here's a shot of the back of the Blue package showing the released kits and the promise of more I remember ~ a year after they came out you could get them for $ .25 from the discount bin because they cost 1/2 the price of a complete car kit and many then were 2 or 3 in 1 so everyone had extra engines, tires wand wheels. Ed
  9. Not to mention the 19 min. delivery time from Norm of R&M of Maryland Ed
  10. It might not be legal, but one of the 4 bangers outta one of the IMSA GTP Mustangs from the 80's would be different! Ed
  11. Clean and well done. Plus like you said "Fun Build". I like It! Ed
  12. Brian, Very Well Done. Ed
  13. There's a nice Twin Cam in the Tamiya Lotus Europa that would need a tranny graft to switch the Transaxle to a Transmission. Also the Lotus ID is over the Cam Chain cover not the Cam covers. The only white metal kit I'm aware of came fron Curbside Dioramics through Mini Exotics and it dosn't seem to be listed any longer. Ed
  14. Hi There Tommy The Motorsport DVD for the Lola T70 Coupe has loads of Cockpit images and a good share of Engine bay shots (Chevy Small Block with mechanical Fuel Injection), but as in the 917K DVD little in the way of suspension detail. Ed
  15. Shane, if you're lookin' for an idea for the kit from Norway look into Ice Racers. Flat Trackin' with what amounts too a bunch of Meat Tenderizers at 100 mph on a Frozen Lake! Ed
  16. I doubt the likes of the Cox Chaparral 2, IMC/Union Chaparral 2E or Lola T70 will be repopped along with most of the Roadracers and CanAm Cars of that era. Although they stir emotions in those that remember them the numbers are dwindling. Ed
  17. Adam, you nailed that one, Excellent Detail. If you ever turn it into a Dusty BP vehicle here's a background for ya. This is a shot of the Border Fence between Bisbee and Douglas Arizona looking East. Ed
  18. I never really thought this was different from. But for some reason I was looking at other AMT Tiger Kits and I'm guessing this was for Canadian Release. The other AMT #2003's I found had English only on the Box. I just thought others might like seeing it. Ed
  19. Excelent explination Curt, Thank You. Ed
  20. Would any additional parts be required to build a Donohue/Penske Javelin? Ed
  21. Curt, another in a long line of great builds. Courious about the Intake Screens, would you might sharing how you formed and cut them? And are they Photoetch or really Screens? Ed out here in S.E. Arizona
  22. Excelent job there Irvin. This year my '68 Elkie is going to once again be road worthy. I'm going to use the AMT '68 Elkie to play with Console designs <keeping with the model theme > Ed
  23. Back in the 70's I was Shoestring. For a year I worked at Doc Hoildays CB Store in Santa Clara CA where my job was " Peakin' Freqin' and Tweakin' " Radios Ed
  24. But other than the shape and accuracy it's still a fun kit Hey Andy think you could come up with a Ferrari 350 Can-Am Transkit for the 330?????????????? Ed
  25. Yep it's a nice Kit. One of these days I'm gonna get the Heller release just because of the Box Art! Ed
