So the Right answer shoulda been something like - Well Duhhh, Because it ain't Upside down! Sheeeesssss......................

The majority of the Prototype cars of that era were Right Hand Drive, even the American Chaparral Cars and Ford GT's. One of the exceptions was the Shelby Cobra Daytona.

The detail you pull out of those tiny kits is amazing.

Oh I understand but they could have done a Swatch Watch kind of release. Buy the Full Slot Kit and here's X# of optional Bodies you can put on it with the advantage of hitting 2 markets. As it is they are releasing Slot Cars period, but by repopping the Slot/Curbside Kits they also garner sales to the Static Kit builders. Crazy Ed

I wonder what the chances are of them rereleasing the old Slot/Crubside Kits like the Chaparral 2A, Elva McLaren, Honker and McKee etc????? Crazy Ed

Yea Monty you are right. I need to hold off posting until after I've had some sleep! And Mark what you do to little bitty kits is amazing. Crazy Ed

This is going to be an interesting one to follow! Is this going to be based on the Fujimi or Heller/Union Kit?

I tend to lean towards the origional CanAm and roadracers of that era Crazy Ed -

Nice Build Brendan. That's a Car one doesn't see everyday. Union also released what I imagine is also a repop of the Heller kit with an optional spoiler for the 908 also. Crazy Ed

where do you buy paints in quantity?
Crazy Ed replied to DrewCfromSC's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Give Scalefinishes a look. Heck he'll even do Custom Colors and all his paints are pre thinned for Airbrush use. http://www.scalefinishes.com/ Crazy Ed -
Well between the Title and Description, other than it's Vol. 50 for that Series that pretty much covers it. Anyone have this CD and could tell me what is included in it? Crazy Ed

Hi George Ain't that just the way things work out. In the Chaparral World there's the Modelers 2D that was repopped not long ago, so now you can get it for ~$55 + shipping and just prior if you wanted one it was ~ $150+. Although I've got resin Chaparral Kits here I'd LOVE to see Revell or Fuji (Hey Round 2, How do the molds for the Chaparral 2 look??) do a series of the entire Chaparral livery, 2 - 2K, in full detail. Heck they could even throw in all 3 versions of the Troutman and Barnes Chaparral "1" and I'd get them also. As to what a Kit is worth, well that's a something each has to decide for themself. If one is happy when they hit the reply button, write the check or fork over the cash or swap then it's a fair price for them and more power to'em. Crazy Ed -

Hi There Casey I'm really not sure just how limited the production was. There were at least 2 Canadian runs. One with Black ane White artwork and one with a Color Picture of the built car and I'm not sure if it was produced again after being sold to the guy in Washington State. I will agree the Canadian Kits were/are of high quality, but $250.... I guess it just passes my $ level, but more power to those for whom it doesn't! Crazy Ed -

Bob Not sure what made you think I was unaware of the status of Mini exotics or why you felt the need to be condescending, but if that made you happy so be it. Yes I know there are those that pay those prices, but like you I'm just not one of them. Crazy Ed -

Hi There Tommy I Am tryin' to complete a Chaparral collection. My Avatar is what it is because of them What I do is pass and hope for another to come along. Now as to your last statement, well your sig. states "Remember...IT'S JUST A FREAKIN' HOBBY...NOW GO BUILD SOMETHING!!" but if it gets to that point wouldn't ya call it an obsession instead of a Hobby !? And this wasn't a bidding War, it was a buy it now. OK I'm Crazy but............. And yes I Am a CanAm nut but if this is where the prices are headed look out 1/43, 'cause your silly prices aren't looking all that silly any more. Crazy Ed

How to remove tape adhesive?
Crazy Ed replied to Ben's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If you can't find Goo Gone, look for De-Solv-it. They're both pretty much the same thing, Citrus based cleaners. I picked up the De-Solv-it at the local Hardware Store -

Hi Ben, just use any of the Citrus based products like Goo Gone, De-Solv-it etc. You should have the residue gone in seconds with no damage. Ed -
the Ron Dunn '50 Ford coupe; what engine?
Crazy Ed replied to 62rebel's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Seems it used a Stock engine according to Paragraph 3 here: http://www.kustomrama.com/index.php?title=Ron_Dunn's_1950_Ford That'd make it either a Flathead 6 or 8 but they didn't say which. Ed -
