  1. Another idea given you seem to only need a batch the same size but not a specific size try and get ahold of a surplus .50 BMG shell case. If you were to cut it down to say 3/4 inch long the opening would be just under .8". Drill out the spent primer and chamfer from the outside in, which will result in a straight walled disk. Pop out the disk with a flat tipped nail
  2. Dave you got it absolutely correct. Hasty reply by just looking at the area covered rather than the number, Sorry. Infact your's isn't far from Dash in the Mini Exotics 2J kit!
  3. Dave, What a Great representation of one of the Groundbreaking cars from Midland Texas. Ok you added a few extra gauges, heck I'll forgive ya!
  4. Nicely Done Robert. There will never be too many Studebaker Builds! You might want to haul that outside and get some better shots of it !!
  5. Well done Steve. Good to see the additional Oil Cooler and the number on the rear. Hey you wouldn't have an extra set of those Wheels would ya????
  6. I think all Ford is doing is reasserting it's ownership of its Logo. http://www.brandchannel.com/home/post/2012/05/22/Ford-Regains-Blue-Oval-Logo-052212.aspx
  7. Heck Curt, Thanx for sharing. Another great build, and folks if you haven't wandered to Curt's Foltki page it's Well Worth the visit.
  8. Very well done Dave. It's always good to see a Classic CanAm build. Wondering, which engine were they going to use in 1969 that was outlawed in the CanAm? I'm not aware of any limitation on engines then. Heck in '70 there was a Car with 4 2 cycle Snowmobile engines in it and it was Legal - Never compeated but it was legal!
  9. WOW, That's Nice.
  10. The only release of the Avanti I have that omits the racing parts on the instruction sheet is the Modern Classics and even it has the Slicks and Dual Paxton option. I haven't opened the plastic package to see it the parts are there. The rest all list it as 3 in 1 on their instruction sheets. Those kits are the Grand Turismo Avanti, Reggie Jackson, Prestige and Millennuim versions.
  11. Well done Mark. I enjoyed following this build and how you delt with the issues this kit has to offer.
  12. If so is there any chance you could arrange a way for me to contact him? It looks like he has some 917/10 Decals I'd like to get copys of (the Brumos and RC Cola cars). I'd also like to ask him about a couple of his past kits. Thanks.
  13. Heck, get one of the Heller/Testors/Union Porsche 917K kits and REALLY Hot Rod it!
  14. Mark, That's coming together Very Well.
  15. Hi There Ira If you're not of the "Bow tie's and Blue Ovals can NEVER coexist" group you might look around for a Aerovette Kit. Remove the Chevy engine from the rear suspention and mount your Ford to it for a Sidewinder midengine setup. Heck the front suspention parts aren't bad either! No Matter, You've got a Fun Build going on there!
  16. Oh Trey you'll be broke after you move allright, once you learn about Solvang with their Pasterys and Morro Bay for some sea Food on the Warf. And if you like good Wine Paso Robles has some REALLY Good Zin!
  17. Nice build there Walter. as too the Color, leave it as is and mark it FORD. It's just about the same color as my 1510.
  18. If you aren't sure of what to get, you can get MANY botched Kit window repairs at your local Auto Store. Get the least expensive (Manual) Plastic Headlight Lens repair kit and follow it's instructions. They are made for what you're trying to do.
  19. It It's listed on their web page. Scroll down towards the botton. http://www.stradasportsstore.com/page86.html
  20. Steve, be glad you weren't the first Security Guard that asked to see my company ID and saw it!
  21. My Avatar is a combination. It represents both the area where i live (it's a picture I took out our front window) and my all time favorite Racing Team. The name, well it's been with me since High School and followed ever since. Infact many folks that I worked with over the years thought my last name was Ed Here's a pic of what you would have seen outside my office at Tandem Computers when I worked there.
  22. Well Joe, if it's only gonna be one then I'd suggest Tommy Ivo's Showboat. Plenty to build there and if you want to detail it there's LOADS of Pictures online!
  23. Hi there Dr. I'll bet your Wood ones didn't have the sink marks that seem to be designed into these . I have samples of both releases and they all have at least a few !
