That finished up Very Nicely Chris. Well done.
  2. Steve you've done the mechanicals on those Very Well. I do like what you've done not only to the Break Ducts but also how you treated the Radiator and Oil Coolers. But I got a nit that seems to have escaped most builders of these kits. The car as built never had the number 4 or 5 on it. The #4 was McLarens number and he died testing the car, 5 was Humes who won that Can Am season. But the Car with the Hoop on the Roll Bar was driven by #48 Dan Gurney (another addition Gurney gave to Race Cars along with the GT40 Gurney "Bump") and later by #7 Peter Gothin (lookup pics of Peter in the car. The height difference between him and Gurney is quickly noticed! ). Hopefully I'll be able to at least approach the detail and finish you did when I pull my M8D off the shelf. Your car will be among the references I use to build it.
  3. And a Merry Christmas to you and yours. Just think as plastic modelers we don't need to buy that "Angel Hair" stuff for our Christmas Trees, all we do is pull out the Testors Orange Tube Glue and make all the "hairs" we want! Sandor, Happy Modeling right back too you.
  4. Yea! It's still alive. Hey Casey, for your intake you could just put a hole in the front that's the same as the engines intake. Simple and clean!
  5. A more TRADITIONAL looking Full Blown Dual Tracked Sledge Merry Christmas to You and Yours Bob
  6. A friend of mine from Kanasa and I thought about going up there to look for Cars, but the $250 Bidders fee was more than our Wed/Thurs/Sunday budget would carry. Now the PRE reg. Cost is $400 with $500 at the Gate. Oh Well..........
  7. I'll join the chorus, Great Build! Seeing as you're planning changes how's 'bout Zommie pipes painted white with the name of the 8 Reindeer on'em, and if you need to add Rudolph well he can be the Bug Catcher on top!
  8. Heck you wouldn't even have had to go outside to get there. Just walk the mini mall Gauntlet that joins them.
  9. No problem! Trim to fit
  10. You might try any of the Citrus based decal / sticker removal solvents like Goo Gone, De Sol it etc.
  11. Hey JW, given someone already thinks of you as a trouble maker and it doesn't seem to bother you. You might consider getting a set of Fred Cady Decals for the Sam Posey '70 Trans Am Challenger to finish up your build. The Color is 'bout right and I'm sure it wouldn't rustle any feathers

Chris that 4bbl looked fine, but that F.I. puts the Candle on the Cupcake! Well done.
  13. Randy, You forced me to go out and buy an:"Adventures in soldering:Hot Rod Wrecker Project update Protection Pillow" for protection from a broken Jaw as it slams onto the Floor................ Wow , insanely well done each and every time!
  14. Amazing that a Plastic Kit survived. If you're into naming projects you might avoid the obvious Phoenix and Smokie names and go for another fire Orphan - Bambi. There were 5 siblings that seem to have not made it.
  15. Gary, haven't you looked at Your latest issue of Model Car Mag. ? If not you need to head to Page 16 and check it out Now I REALLY need to get my renewel in so I don't miss the next issue.
  16. Yea! The Turbine engine is back in the build
  17. Mike Thanks for postin' the Pics'. In the 1:1's there were 2 I Lust after, the Orange '64 Goat and the Primer Chevy Panel - Owned 2 of the Panels back when, the Pre Army "expensive" one with a 283c.i. cost $400 and the Post Army Long Bed 1 Ton w/235c.i. was $200. Think the guy'd take ........... oh $600 for the Primer Panel?

Well Done Chris. From the looks of them you made youe own Injector Stacks, mind saying how you did them ?
  19. Much as I'd like to take the credit for the idea it wasn't mine, just one of those things that too good not to pass along.
  20. Hi Joe Just CA a couple of scrap pieces of Styrene together spray them and give'em a bath. If they come apart or not you'll know for sure
  21. If you want to chop a Top or section a body this works out well. Take the Sanding/Cutting Disks and stack them with broken ones as spacers. This combo works out to a 1/25 scale 3" cut and as long as you have a steady hand the cuts will be parallel!
  22. I'd like to have a Kitchen Magnet of that to put next to this one
  23. The World is a better place every time there is another Elkie added to it, Well Done Jim. That needs to be reshot in the Sunlight 'cause it sure looks like it'd Glow. Lookin' at the Grill 'n front license - Welcome Home.
  24. Just a guess, but the twin blowers/pulleys and belt assembly from the AMT Avanti kit ought to be a good start. http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/instruction_sheetsh/instruction_sheets/amt-12/amt-gran-turismo-av/file6.html Look at the optional version on the right.
  25. El Mirage is still used by Lake Racers along with off roaders. Rogers Dry Lake is where Edwards AFB is located. Interesting shot nonetheless!
