  1. This'll be an interesting one to watch as it's on my too do list. It's too bad the Ferrari Factory folks never looked upon the CanAm Series as something to put serious effort into.
  2. Coven did the Billy Jack Version of One Tin Soldier
  3. Kicks - Paul Revere and the Raders
  4. Another Plastic to look for is UHMW. It's sold in strips for use on outfeed tables and such in woodworking. MUCH les expensive than Teflon but for your application it has simular resistance to having glues stick to it.
  5. Hi Ruben Look around and see if you can get a piece of PTFE/Teflon to do your glue ups on. In the worst cast a slight poke with a X-Acto tip will release the Crazy Glued part from it. Blush - Ok you already knew 'bout Teflon. Note to Self - READ the ENTIRE Post prior to replying................ Ruben, Given you're doin' Steering Wheels would a 1" wide piece do ya? If/so PM me.
  6. Hi Mike Model Car Garage has fine Stainless Steel Wire Mesh that'll work. It's 150 mesh or ~6 wires per mm http://www.modelcargarage.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=53&idcategory=0
  7. The #1 Trophy, along with 3 other Trophys came in the AMT Prestige Series Kits.
  8. I much prefer the '54 Commander Wagon. I used to have one and really enjoyed it, so a Kit'd get my money.
  9. That'd be a great vehicle to park outside of a Bar after Happy Hour, or infront of a Drivers Training School !
  10. Well done Bruce. Although my heart beats quicker with Panel Trucks there's a warming to Sedan Delivery's and this one sure works. As too a Kit that might have Wipers you could use take a look at the Tamiya 1300 VW Bug!
  11. Well done Steve. Good to see the add on Oil Cooler.
  12. That needs to be placed under one of those Full Page Magnifiers for display. Amazing.
  13. I've got 8 IMC/Union Lola T-70's that'll be built into different CanAm Liveries.
  14. I figured it out, Mark's a PHONEY!! He has Elves that do his Building!! Well Done Mark.
  15. Hi Tim, the Ferrari 330 P4 and 512S were both reissued by Union.
  16. Looks a lot like an updated IMSA GT car from the late 70's. This ought to be an interesting build.
  17. Joe, if you've got a Monogram/Revell Shelby GT 350R collecting dust there's a nice set in it or R&M of Maryland makes a nice Resin set, Item # R-26
  18. Yea Ray, I feel your "pain". Wind Speed 2mph, Temp 80F, Humidity 7% with a Dewpoint of 10F. Now where's my Chapstick...........
  19. Then there's the Nitty Gritty Dirt Bands "signature" Song Mr Bojangles, written by Jerry Jeff Walker. Also Stevie Ray Vaughan did a version of Little Wing that would have had Hendrix nodding in approval.
  20. You might consider one of the Accurate Miniatures McLaren M8B's. Period Big Block with Tall Injector Stacks. Heck you could even makeup a Story how the Guy had a Neighbor that wrapped his M8 'round the Oak Tree (rip) at VIR. You're just gonna widen the track 6 scale inches. Crazy Ed
  21. Hi Phil What you're looking for are ones like this: And if you EVER find a pair (or a Photoetch set) let me know because I want'em also for the same reason!

  23. My thanks to Bill, aka 65slotcar for the Heads UP. I never thought I'd see a Book that covered the USRRC series! For those that don't know it was the SCAA's first leap into Professional Racing, and what many think as the Parent of the Can-Am series. The Book has a style simular to Friedman's Trans-Am and Lyons Can-Am Books with Event write ups and results with a yearly summary. LOTS of era Pics ,400 of 'em in just under 350 pages. It may not be the best reference ever for period builds it'll sure stir the memories. For me it filled a gap that I didn't think was going to get filled and provided more "Wow, I forgot about that" events than I'd care to admit. It comes in a Blue "Box" that sure helps deliver it in good shape and has an attached ribbon page marker. The Book "USRRC" by Mike Martin. attached are shots of the Box and Book Cover. And if you need a disclaiimer, No I am Not receiving anything for this reference.
