Here's a few Mini Exotics -
Officer, it's Patchouli Oil............... Really it is

This'll be a fun one to follow. Gary if you want to build box stock, you could paint it light metallic blue with white, using the #27 decals and built the Mecom Pabst/Penske Sebring Car
-
Never a Problem. Heck it's your Kit so enjoy it a Do It Your Way! If there's specific info you're lookin' for let me know as I have a fair amount of reference material here. Ok, guessin' about where the pavement ends.
-
All's that is missing is for the Mech to be reading a copy of "How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive"
-
Very Well Done Chris. And as Daddyfink said, Those Penske/Donohue/Sunoco Cars looked Sharp.
-
Wow, too bad on the Spray. If you plan on using the supplied decals you're going to need to modify the Roll bar. For it to be correct you'd need to renumber the car with # 48 or #7 as Dan Gurney and Peter Guthin were the only ones to drive the M8D with the additional loop. Curious Ray, Where about's in AZ are you located?
-
Ray the A vs D on this Kit happens a lot because of the checker pattern that chops off the top of the d.
-
Nicely done. Now there's one you won't see everyday!
-
Ray, There have been a couple of those built lately with nice results. I'll be following this one. Oh By The Way it's an 8D not 8A. The 8A had a spoiler not a Wing. Bill good memory. The McLaren Team never ran Turbos in compitition during the Original CanAm Series.

What a great Build! Heck I like this bettert than the 917/20 they came from. A bit of trivia,Martini the 917/20's owner hated those Graphics so much they refused to have their name onthe Car

To all of those builders who shoot.

They make handy Disk Cutters or Hole Punch's. Either drill a hole in Rimfire cases or pop the Primer from Centerfire Cases so you can clear out the punched disk. Here's some common sizes converted to 1/25 use. .17 = 4.25" .22 = 5.5" .243" or 6mm = 6" .270" = 6.75" .30" = 7.5" .32 = 8" .38, .380, .357 and 9mm Para = ~9" after cleanup .40 = 10" .45 = 11" -
The Revell/Mono Cadillac Parts Paks has them. Basically the same engine minus the Caddie Script Valve Covers.

List of Mini Exotics Kits
Crazy Ed replied to Crazy Ed's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Looks like I've got some updating to do. The one thing that has become apparent is the difference between between Mini Exotics and R&D Unique's part #'s is R&D places a 2 infront of the origional #. Thanks to All for the info. -
Scottsdale car Auctions

After Years of running my Wife outta the House on BJ Auction weeks I finally gave up on SpeedTV's Commercials interupted by 2 or 3 Cars being Auctioned off. -
3-D Printing is now affordable
Crazy Ed replied to Darren B's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
A 6X6X6 Printer would print out a complete 1/24-5 scale Body if the software were to add "Feet" (printers version of a Spruce! ) to it and it were placed at a 45 degree angle. Once the $100 printers can print out smooth parts that donot require sanding beyond paint prep, the After and Kit market will without a doubt change. The limiting part of Kits will be Decals that have White and Metallic that can be printed at home with a printer that isn't going to cost more to buy and operate than a "Kit" Printer. Given folks seem to agree the plastic is ABS someone is going to need to comeup with a primer that isn't going to require the prep used to paint ABS today. Otherwise there is going to be a lot of peeling paint at the Kit Shows. -
Comin' along nicely Mark. Being not in my right mind I thought this'd be a Fun build for a SCAA Regional SoCal Club Racer that would have run Riverside and Ontario Sponsored by ..... In and Out Burgers

Brucs, if you keep an eye out on ebay the IMC/Union kits come up on a fairly regular basis. For your best bet on getting useable decals try to get the Union release.
-
Given what you had to work with it looks like you did ok. The Blue should have been darker but what the heck. You can get the numbers here: http://www.professormotor.com/product-p/pmtr6001.htm . They're 1/24 not 1/25 though if you're worried about that. You'll still need to scare up decals for Bosch, Firestone, Cox and Shell.

Conestoga wagon
Crazy Ed replied to Harry P.'s topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
I used to own a Studebaker Conestoga Wagon. A 1954 V8 Commander Conestoga 2 door wagon. -
Ok, you're going to build another 7. Given the progression of the past builds I'm guessing this one is going to run, Right
