  1. Joe you really ought to restart that and build it as a Herse. Leave it in the Delivery style but add a Sun roof!
  2. Hi again Jesse Before you give up on the Pontiac where were you having problems with the assembly? Another thought also might be to plop the 454 Heavy Chevy into the S10 as it's an engine swap more likely to have happened if that matters to ya.
  3. Yet another piece of Art, and you take nice Pictures too boot!!
  4. Hi there Jesse Ok 34 folks looked at your post prior to me so I guess I'll ask - What kind of help are you looking for? Assembly Instructions, if it'd be better with 4 or 6 carbs, Manual or Auto Tranny or it it'd be a good idea to stuff a mid 50's engine into a early 70's Pickup? There's lots of folks here that'd like to help. All you gotta do is let'em know what it is you need.
  5. I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I haven't had home delivery for 11+ years and if they closed my Local Post Office (6 miles away, 5 of which are dirt) the next nearest is about 20 miles away. And if I'd rather ship UPS the nearest shipping location is ~ 40 miles away and I like it. Those of you working for Companies that are having problems shipping, check with your Boss/H.R. folks and see if you might be able to ship through them. As long as you cover the cost it's no skin off their nose and makes for happier employees.
  6. Wonderful job once again. I really have a soft spot for everything CanAm and this really hits the Spot! Got one of those here waiting it's turn along with Kits for Donohue's M6 A+B.
  7. I do like the quick and prolonged reference provided by printed books. My interest runs towards late 50's - mid 70's roadracing. My Library is just over 2 dozen books (so far) : Can-Am - Lyons Can-Am Challenger - Bryant Can-Am Racing Cars - Ludvigsen Library series Can-Am 1966-1974 - Brookland Books Can-Am Photo History - Lyons Lola Can-Am and Endurance Race Cars - Friedman Lola T70 The racing History and Individual Chassis Record - Starkey</p> The Unfair Advantage - Donohue Mark Donohue His Life in Photographs - Argetsinger Mark Donohue Technical Excellence at Speed - Argetsinger Chaparral Can-Am and Prototype Race Cars - Friedman Chaparral Racing Cars from Texas - Ludvigsen Library Chaparral Complete History of Jim Halls Chaparral Race Cars 1961 - 1970 Fakoner and Nye Chaparral The Texas Roadrunner Sports Car Racing in Camera 1950 - 1959 Parker Sports Car Racing in Camera 1960 - 1969 Parker Sports Car Racing in Camera 1970 - 1979 Parker Vintage American Road Racing Cars 1950 - 70 Pace &amp; Brinker Pro Sports Car Racing in America 1958 - 1974 Friedman The Speed Merchants A Journey Through the World of Motor Racing 1969 -1974 - Keyser Those Were the Days Motor Racing at Nassau in the 1950's - 1960's - O'Neil Racing in The Rain - Horsman McLaren Sports Racing Cars - Friedman Porsche 917 The Winning Formula - Morgan Scarlet Passion Ferrari's famed sports prototype &amp; Competition sports cars 1962 - 1973 - Pritchard Trans-Am The Pony Car Wars 1966 - 1972 - Friedman Add to those a Cd sent to me by a Forum member of the Motor Racing Replica News and Motor Racing Models series. The Internet is nice, but give me a Good Book any day.
  8. Ok I can see by your sig that Fords float your boat, but think about what it's look like dropped into either a Lotus 7 or a Honda S-800!
  9. Hummmmm, if Santa's going to drop 'em off then I want both the '70 + '71 Donohue TransAm Javelins. JoHan or AMT'd be fine by me
  10. Hi There Marty Here's a link that'll tell all you need to know. Enjoy. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7947&hl=%2Bposting+%2Bpictures&fromsearch=1
  11. IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!! Got my Oct issue today.
  12. And that seam has a twin on the other side.... . Given all you've done so far and as well as it has come out so far it'd be a shame for you to not cure the casting flaw and carry on.
  13. Wow, a 712p Ferrari. Now that's a subject one isn't going to see everyday! Scott nice job on that Kit. It was too bad in the day that Ferrari didn't have the resources or interest to make a serious effort in the CanAm series.
  14. Well done on both. Makes my mind wander back to the mid 60's in SoCal. when that Pair would be seen on Saturday headed to Ascot Raceway from just about any point of the compass. Well done Sam.
  15. Hi Marty The Super Stocker is as marked an AMX. For a TransAm car you'll need a Javelin. In '69 they were two different critters.
  16. Like Steve, you've built some of my favorites also. Wonderful replicas.
  17. The JoHan - AMT TransAm Javelins! The IMC - Union Lola T-70 with a variety of decals for different teams.
  18. How about the 70 + 71 Javelins? And as long as we're day dreaming make them 3 in 1's. Stock, Drag and TransAm! Make the interior tub with a separate rear seat so there's less hacking needed to make the race versions.
  19. Aaron Woods of Yosemite Calif. cured my problem with this suggestion: "Try setting it to photo paper or highest gloss. I had a similar problem the first time I used a laser printer and that took care of the problem. " HEY, Folks at BMF, any chance you can add that to your product use sheet?
  20. AARON, THANK YOU!!!!!! That did it. Sure woulda been nice for the manufacturer to have added that tidbit to their product. Again THANK YOU
  21. Well this isn't looking good......... Yes Mike I'm sure it's a Laser Printer Bill thank's for the suggestion. Gonna have to think about that one. Jon although that might work I'm a bit rural for that to be a viable option. Darin it seems the Transparency setting isn't an option as I'm unable to highlight it!? Thanks to all for the replies.
  22. Don't count on that. There were 2 Mini Exotic Chaparrals sold this mornning that were listed as "Chapparals", a 2(A) and a 2J. The 2(A) went for $133 and the J went for $163.05. Neither fell into what I'd consider very very cheap.
  23. You're welcome Rick. Have Fun.
  24. Hi There I'm having a problem with both the Clear and White BMF Decal papers. I tried emailing them twice with no reply. Attached is an image of the results I got using their clear, and the results were the same with the white: I'm using a HP 2605dtm. So any of you out there with BMF Decal for Laser Printer experience that might have suggestions?
  25. Strada Sports has them listed under MFH Transkits and Detail parts. Here's a likn to their main page: http://www.stradasportsstore.com/Model-Cars.html
