  1. Wow, It was ~3 Weeks ago I got Issue #154 . Here I thought I had 4 more weeks before I needed to renew. Hey Guys, the Check's in the Mail Ed
  2. That's lookin' real good Sean. Ed
  3. Well Tommy, that explains your Avatar doesn't it Ed
  4. Bisbee is where I go for Jury Duty. We hit 4f this Morning. Our water stopped flowing when the temp hit 11 just before midnight. No BBQ tonight and the skinny dippin' party is off Ed
  5. Nice Build there Lyle and yep the Wheel Cover is fron the '63 Avanti Ed
  6. Hi George I agree. They were a pair of good Scores. The Chaparral 2E's are "Common" compaired to the 917-30's, heck there's 2 of'em there now! Ed
  7. It's days like this that make the 12 mile round trip to the Post Office worth it! Ed
  8. Lookin' Good Jason. Given the detail you applied to the Coils I would have left them exposed. Ed
  9. Got mine today, picked it up at the P.O. Box.
  10. Curt, Another wonderful example of Modeling skill. I always look forward to your builds.
  11. Well done Brendan. Always good to see the old Prototypes being built. Ed
  12. If it's just the Allison you're lookin' for head to e-bay and look for AMT Allison mixed in with the Allison Stock Cars will be Allison Engine only Parts Packs along with the Allison Thunderbird Funny Car. Ed
  13. They made Resin Kits on par with Fisher and made several CanAm Kits I've not seen produced in 1/24-5 anywhere else that I know of, like DN2 & 4 Shadows and Chaparral 2G (The Chap being my main interest). Although Paul at Fisher will be getting more of my Money I wouldn't mind doing a bit to boost the local economy in Canada either. Ed
  14. Sadly the only Full Detail 1/24-5 Chaparral Kits I'm aware of are the IMC/Union 2E's. Ed
  15. Hi George. Always willing to help others spend their money , so here's a couple of links for ya: Fisher - http://fishermodels.com/?mainURL=/store/category/589p/Model_Kits.html I haven't delt with these folks, but their prices seem to be good: Chaparral 2C - http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10027067 Chaparral 2D - http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10128549 This is a repop of the Modelers Kit. And if you're looking for the Monogram 2D I've got 2 extras I'd be willing to trade off Ed
  16. Oh they're out there. Ya just have to be willing to look Ed
  17. Fisher makes Kits of the Chaparral 2E and F, but not the D. As has been mentioned Monogram made a Kit of the 2D Daytona version (a Curbside or Slot Car option kit) as did Modelers ($$$). Modelers also did a Sebring Resin + Plastic version (again $$$) along with a Nurburgring/LeMans ($$$) which has just lately been repopped and released by Fujimi and can be for ~$60 with shipping from HobbyLink Japan. IMC and repopped by Union made full detail kits for the Chaparral 2E that if you shop and take your time can be had for <$50 + shipping). I'm not aware of an Otaki Chaparral 2D Kit that I know of (they did release a 1/28 scale 2H). Ed
  18. Curt, that's quite a year you had. I look forward to seeing your builds for the skill and detail you put into all of them. Ed
  19. Nice Job Mitch. One of the famous Cars from my favorite era of Racing. Ed
  20. Well Phil as you Now Know ,that hood was only used on the '70 TransAm Javelin. Ed

    Yep, it's a Pontiac. Here's Tom's description : http://www.tomdaniel.com/85_kits/frm_85kits.html Ed
  22. I have the decal set from Fisher/Motor Racing Models that include them. The catch being the reference drawing for decal placement is for a McLaren M8A/M12 which I haven't found reference indicating Oscar raced one!? Time to hit the Books! Another Race Car that had at least partial Model Car maker's sponsership were the Chaparral 2's. Ed
  23. Hi There Cody The AMT '68 El Camino has a 4 Link Chassis and it's seperate. So you could chop it to whatever length you need to fit your project. Ed
  24. It looks like Island Collectables has a lot of his products. Ed
  25. Happy Birthday USMC. Thanks to all that have Served. Ed
