  1. Lions and tigers and bears don't prey on the general populace much these days, but they could do some valuable herd thinning if they still did.
  2. Man...somehow I missed this one. Very cool. Love that injection setup.
  3. Cool. Congrats. I didn't have a dedicated model room until somewhere around 2005 when I got back in the hobby after a long absence. For me, easily accessible tool storage close to the bench so it doesn't get too cluttered, and a whole lot of light are the two biggest must-haves.
  4. I know just how you feel.
  5. Sad has been my deep emotional state since 1970, but I try not to go there too much.
  6. I build custom harnesses, and install, adapt, modify, and augment generics like Painless and American Autowire, retrofit late-model engine harnesses, or standalones for swaps, and integrate hardware and ECMs that were never intended to work together. It's not cheap, but it's not rocket science either. I've been at it since I was 18.
  7. Miller in the little pony bottles iced down to hurting-cold used to be the absolute best way to start the Friday wind-down after a hot sweaty week.
  8. Again with the negative waves.
  9. On that happy thought, I think I'll think of something else.
  10. Never having met the man, I have no real idea about how he conducts himself. That said, after reading your comment, I did a little research about the guy, and the general perception on the web is that he's neither arrogant nor a mammalian exhaust port. I'm not finding any references to the incident you refer to either (though I've not done an exhaustive search), and as much as the web loves to rebleat anything negative about anybody, particularly if they disagree with anything said person has ever espoused, I find that curious as well. I'm not arguing with you, as you apparently are stating you actually saw this happen, but are you absolutely certain?
  11. UPS. Texted me this AM my water heater would be here today, so I stayed home to make sure the neighborhood porch pirates don't get it. Fine. I can do some catch-up on my paperwork. So now I check the tracking and they say my address is incorrect, delivery "may be delayed". Really? Same address for 10 years, same address as on the order, same address both Home Depot and UPS have delivered to in my name multiple times since I've been here. I AM SO SICK OF CONSTANT INCOMPETENCE THAT INVARIABLY COSTS ME TIME AND MONEY.
  12. "Wings" is how "rings" is pronounced by those with a particular speech impediment.
  13. Sad that there is large segment of the population that doesn't get that joke.
  14. Thing for your thupper if your thinging voith ith up to it.
  15. Watch yer Ps and Qs, or Santa may leave nothing but a lump of coal in yer stocking.
  16. Too bad the name of our planet isn't Mearth. Mearth without art is meh.
  17. Don't leave your keys in the car and then act surprised if it's gone when you come back.
  18. Forum rules wouldn't be compromised, but it's something private I have no wish to share.
  19. "Helpers" in the "mother's little" context reminds me of something that happened when I was a junior in high school, but that's all I'm going to say.
  20. Beer in little icy cold pony bottles used to be the perfect end to a hot workday.
  21. Show us where Mickey's big hand would be at 10 past 3 if you can.
  22. Another misunderstood potential problem is car covers. Anything in contact with the paint for any time, especially after rain or heavy dew, will hold a film of moisture, even the "breathable" covers, and when the sun hits 'em, often times the paint will begin to blister, with rust not far behind. I ruined the finish on my '86 Jag in 3 months before I was aware of this fact.
  23. It seems a lot of folks don't like raw oysters for just that reason.
  24. Like tennis balls in ketchup was an ex's idea of proper meatball taste and texture.
