Worst wurst I ever encountered was some "texturized soy" mess that tasted like salty cardboard with the consistency of oatmeal packed in a long thin balloon.

Though the thread I linked to was started by "regular guy", the vast majority of useful information on the thread is from other users.

"Singular", besides meaning "one only", can also mean "particular" or "special", as in "his work was of singular beauty".

Cool. Now I know fer shure where one of those gorgeous manual transaxles I got from Model Builders' Warehouse is going.

Some time back I started thinking about doing a series of the McLaren sports-racing cars that are available in styrene or as slot car bodies. Bruce McLaren was another one of my "heroes" when I was a young man, and I've worked on a few of the cars over the years. Though Bruce had already been tragically killed, I was fortunate to meet both Denny Hulme and Peter Revson during the CanAm glory days. Couple things I got for Christmas from somebody who, remarkably, actually knows something about my interests, listens, and put some effort into getting me something I'd really like.. A reference book I've wanted for a while but never tried to track down: A complete unmolested 1/25 AMT McLaren Elva (the M1-A): And a couple of 1/24 Tamiya slot-body versions of the same basic car:

Any wire, any application, any scale. It just takes some effort.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that at least the Reggie Jackson version was de-contented, with options removed. Worthwhile checking into...
