That's not a terrible idea. -
A few new Round 2 kit coming out ......

That's the thing, they don't have to include the Bigfoot decals. It could have Coke decals too. They have already issued the 80s Bigfoot with alternate decals as the Destroyer II. The only problem I can think of is that the valve covers say "Bigfoot" on them but that could be fixed, they're wrong anyway. They've done the Bigfoot 10 tube chassis truck with just American flag decals. -
Sounds fine then.

I agree that the two frames are different, there are obvious differences in places that shouldn't need to have been changed to make the monster truck conversion. That plus the fact the regular long bed was reissued after the first issue of the USA-1 truck says that at least the frame wasn't altered then. What has happened to it since then is anyone's guess. I also wonder why they keep reissuing the chevy kit when the have the 80s Bigfoot kit too. -
Great, I've bought more than enough donor kits as it is.
-
It's not too late as long as the kit isn't more than 25% complete already.
-
Would the Lindberg/AMT 66 Chevelle chassis be a suitable donor as well? I have an Olds motor to donate to the cause as well.
-
The Thunderbird is probably a 67, the 68 and 69 models had long bumper extensions toward the fender opening for side turn signals.
-
Thanks guys, I see that about half an inch or so needs to come out behind the rear wheels of the Ranchero. I have a Thunderbolt kit that could donate it's top if it comes to that. Like I said, accuracy isn't super important. I'm thinking about building a track/drift car and the Falcon seemed like an interesting choice.

We had a cat that loved tomato sauce, she would pace around in circles until you let her lick your spaghetti plate. -
I'm looking for a suitable roof to turn the 61 Ranchero into a sedan or even a faux sport coupe. I've seen the 61 Falcon promos and they look like they flew a little too close to the sun. I don't want to spend big bucks on a resin kit because for my purpose I only really need the body and bumpers, the chassis and interior would be scratch built race car stuff. I found a custom top from the AMT 57 Thunderbird that might work but ideally there would be something closer to stock. I have a 64 Falcon but I'm not cutting that up for this, is there a stock looking top that's from a fairly cheap kit?

The Coca-Cola Thirst Crusher! Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! Actually, it's not too far from possible. There were a lot of "corporate" trucks then. -
The middle compartment is a sleeper, theres an RV style ac unit and the dome is most likely a Winegard style satellite tv reciever. Landstar is a shipping company that uses third party drivers to deliver packages. They seem like a specialty carrier who probably does short turn around times for items that are difficult to ship normally.

I don't care for 68/69 Chevelles but may pick one 69 up to do Reese Bobby's car.

I watched that too, most of those people need serious medication. They exhibit a lot of the signs of mental illness.
