  1. That's not a terrible idea.
  2. Has anyone thought of or used or seen a way to replicate the LEDs used in modern headlights? I'm close to trying a drop of bright blue in white paint applied to the back of the lens, maybe using a tube with the end dipped in paint for the round style. I didn't know if anyone had seen a better way.
  3. That's the thing, they don't have to include the Bigfoot decals. It could have Coke decals too. They have already issued the 80s Bigfoot with alternate decals as the Destroyer II. The only problem I can think of is that the valve covers say "Bigfoot" on them but that could be fixed, they're wrong anyway. They've done the Bigfoot 10 tube chassis truck with just American flag decals.
  4. I agree that the two frames are different, there are obvious differences in places that shouldn't need to have been changed to make the monster truck conversion. That plus the fact the regular long bed was reissued after the first issue of the USA-1 truck says that at least the frame wasn't altered then. What has happened to it since then is anyone's guess. I also wonder why they keep reissuing the chevy kit when the have the 80s Bigfoot kit too.
  5. Great, I've bought more than enough donor kits as it is.
  6. It's not too late as long as the kit isn't more than 25% complete already.
  7. Would the Lindberg/AMT 66 Chevelle chassis be a suitable donor as well? I have an Olds motor to donate to the cause as well.
  8. I'm getting it from him, I was going to radius the wheel wells anyway so them not being perfect doesn't matter. Even if it's really chopped up I've got an old Ranchero body I can use for patch panels or a top and rear end transplant.
  9. The Thunderbird is probably a 67, the 68 and 69 models had long bumper extensions toward the fender opening for side turn signals.
  10. Thanks guys, I see that about half an inch or so needs to come out behind the rear wheels of the Ranchero. I have a Thunderbolt kit that could donate it's top if it comes to that. Like I said, accuracy isn't super important. I'm thinking about building a track/drift car and the Falcon seemed like an interesting choice.
  11. That might be a good place to get the basic shape, especially if you're going in a more modern custom direction.
  12. We had a cat that loved tomato sauce, she would pace around in circles until you let her lick your spaghetti plate.
  13. I'm looking for a suitable roof to turn the 61 Ranchero into a sedan or even a faux sport coupe. I've seen the 61 Falcon promos and they look like they flew a little too close to the sun. I don't want to spend big bucks on a resin kit because for my purpose I only really need the body and bumpers, the chassis and interior would be scratch built race car stuff. I found a custom top from the AMT 57 Thunderbird that might work but ideally there would be something closer to stock. I have a 64 Falcon but I'm not cutting that up for this, is there a stock looking top that's from a fairly cheap kit?
  14. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH, now I need a set of Brawndo decals...
  15. The Coca-Cola Thirst Crusher! Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! Actually, it's not too far from possible. There were a lot of "corporate" trucks then.
  16. The middle compartment is a sleeper, theres an RV style ac unit and the dome is most likely a Winegard style satellite tv reciever. Landstar is a shipping company that uses third party drivers to deliver packages. They seem like a specialty carrier who probably does short turn around times for items that are difficult to ship normally.
  17. It's posted in the News and Reviews section.
  18. Those builds look really good.
  19. I don't care for 68/69 Chevelles but may pick one 69 up to do Reese Bobby's car.
  20. The Satellite hood is supposed to be in the upcoming Fast & Furious version.
  21. The MPC/AMT 88 is supposed to coming back sometime this year.
  22. Google is a huge target and shutting down all their vehicles would cause chaos.
  23. I watched that too, most of those people need serious medication. They exhibit a lot of the signs of mental illness.
