  1. I started to buy those but I ended up with the Hobby Design ones because I like them a bit better.
  2. The best option with those kits is to do your research and know what your buying before you put your money down.
  3. The roof of the MPC Bronco has an awful shape that is pinched toward the front. I'd build the whole body from the AMT truck kit and just use the MPC interior with the AMT dash.
  4. Thanks for breaking this down, now I can't unsee some of them unfortunately.
  5. I don't always see these things either. I really think it boils down to how your brain interprets lines and shapes and what you're individually sensitive to. It's the same function that makes us find different faces and bodies more or less attractive.
  6. Look at the center top of the windshield in the first picture, how it sags down in the middle.
  7. I've already bought these, the wheels on the car are Saleen wheels so they're not out there at all.
  8. Ace, what do you think about the AMT 67? It's probably easier to find than the Revell kit since it was out recently.
  9. That will be a cool build. I've already got two classic Challengers, an AMT and a Monogram, so I doubt I'd build another but the modern one still holds some interest for me. I've been intending to do all three modern muscle cars and just haven't yet.
  10. The hitch is a little janky, a pintle would have been stronger. As long as he only moved the trailer like this empty its probably not really that bad.
  11. In 68 the name of the color changed to Highland Green, Duplicolor still makes Highland Green because it's on the new versions of the Bullitt Mustang.
  12. KITT is a great idea, I'm also surprised no one has suggested the Vanishing Point Challenger. I would like to build a modern version with one of the new AMT kits.
  13. I'm not sure what this trying to sell me and I'm not sure I want to.
  14. In 1966 Ford dark green was called Ivy Green. Here's the PPG paint code and some comparison shots.
  15. I can see the picture.
  16. I really like that car, it's on my build list too.
  17. Thank you, I'll do my best. In that case I'll announce my build. I'm going to do the Decepticon Barricade from the first Transformers movie. I've had the decals made and have a partial kit to get started, I have to get another one because I cut this one up for last years Cannonball.
  18. I need a ruling from the rules committee before I announce my build. The exact movie car I want to build is based on a mid 2000s Saleen Mustang but there isn't a Saleen kit available for that generation of Mustang. Can I use the Revell GT500KR as a starting point and modify it be a bit more Saleen-like? Here are pictures of the kit and the a real Saleen.
  19. In the mid 90s a friends dad had an immaculate dark green Skyhawk with a tan interior. I want to say it was a 78 but I cant swear to it.
  20. Okay. This is what I would do but you'll have to test it because I've never used this combo before. I would try regular Testors flat black as the primer first, if those don't work together you'll need a hotter primer like Duplicolor or Rustoleum.
  21. They make a lacquer primer in white for the lacquer paints.
  22. Maybe back up an album, Aenima is a bit more radio friendly. Tracks like Stinkfist, 46 & 2, and Aenema get regular radio play and are a bit more hooky.
  23. Yes, since the AMT Monza has been reissued it would be nice to see if any of the previous custom pieces would fit it.
  24. Yes, MM is Model Master. That primer should be safe for Testors enamels, for anything else you'll need to test it. As for Rustoleum, its hotter than Testors and will wrinkle it almost every time. If you want to use Testors over Rustoleum you need to test it, different kinds of paint don't always play well together.
  25. I don't have any luck with Duplicolor so I avoid it if at all possible. With the Testors stuff as long as you use the same system of stuff you should be okay, MM with MM and the lacquer with its things. With any crossing of paint types it's best to just test it out on a spare body to be sure.
